NetEnt has recently signed two agreements to supply online casinos in Italy with its proprietary suite of award winning online games. NetEnt was started in 1996 by one of the leading land-based gaming operators in Scandinavia and slowly evolved into one of the most recognizable brands in the business.
NetEnt’s state of the art online gambling platform powers a long list of reputable online casinos all over the world. NetEnt is a publicly traded company listed on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Mid Cap (NET-B).
NetEnt’s two recently signed contracts are with G.Matica and Interwetten, both operating under the recently enacted Italian gambling laws. G.Matica is a well-established sports betting and poker operator in Italy which will use NetEnt’s software to power its upcoming G.Matica online casino in Italy.
The second agreement is with Interwetten, an Austrian gaming giant which has recently decided to enter the regulated Italian online casino market. NetEnt and Interwetten already have an existing business relationship with NetEnt supplying its online casino software for Interwetten’s other European divisions.
The CEO of NetEnt, Johan Öhman, was quoted by online gambling news in Italy: “The investments made to establish NetEnt as a premium supplier of online casinos in regulated markets has clearly been successful…Our aim to provide the ultimate gaming experience through research and technology leadership stays firm and will benefit the operators that have chosen us as their casino supplier.”
With these new contracts, NetEnt continues to solidify its position as one of the leading online casino software providers worldwide. The newly liberalized European gaming markets are continuing to provide NetEnt with untapped opportunities for further growth. Rumors indicate that the next country where NetEnt plans to establish its presence will be Spain, once the government begins the process of awarding online gaming licenses.
