New numbers from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) show considerable revenue growth in the New Jersey online gaming market since last October.

In US gambling news, New Jersey online gaming operators have experienced further year-on-year growth in revenue, according to reports from the NJDGE. Total online gaming revenue for October 2015 was USD 12.9 million, which is up 35.6% from the USD 9.5 million from October 2014. October’s numbers also show an increase on the USD 12 million in revenue from September 2015.

The New Jersey online gaming market is experiencing a steady rise in numbers and new players, and is poised for further growth. To date, total New Jersey online gaming revenue for the year is USD 121.6 million, up 17.6% from USD 103.4 million last year. There even exists speculation that the percentage will go up to 25% by the year’s end.

New Jersey online gaming market flourishes while overall gambling market take a dive

While online gambling sites in US have been prosperous this year, the same cannot be said for the Garden State’s overall gambling market. In opposition to the New Jersey online gaming sector, which enjoyed steady growth in October, the New Jersey overall gambling market suffered. Its total revenue dropped down 1.3% year-on-year to USD 204.5 million.

Online poker in New Jersey experienced a similar decline this year. It took a hard hit this autumn, reaching a low of USD 1,913,403 in October 2015, which is down 2.8% from October 2014. Overall, poker is down 20.9% from this time last year, whereas online casino games are up 30%.

As a result of these October numbers, New Jersey’s total gambling revenue for the year now stands at USD 2.2 million, which is a 7.7% drop from the same time last year.
