Although character details are not out yet, there are multiple official pages for the show that share all the important updates from time to time. Just like in the movies, the filming location is the beautiful New Zealand that fans are so familiar with. The show will most likely feature Sauron and if the downfall of Númenor happens viewers could see some familiar faces.

House of the Dragon

Game of Thrones fans are already familiar with this title. House of the Dragon is the first prequel that emerged from the pile of ideas that started in 2016. The show has been announced to the public for some time but it’s not one of the original titles. Production of the show is not finished yet but a trailer is already available for the fans. The story will explore the famous Dance of Dragons, a great civil war between the Targaryens. This event happens 170 years before the events of Game of Thrones, but the show will begin around 200 years before. The reason is to show the development of events that lead up to the civil war. Obi-Wan Kenobi - Long Awaited New Show Coming Up in 2022

The six-episode mini-series by Disney and Lucasfilm will premiere in 2022. A TV show focusing on the legendary Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi has been a well-kept secret for a long time. It has been in development at least since 2015 and was finally announced in 2019 by Kathleen Kennedy. This is by far the most anticipated Star Wars TV show in a long time even if we compare it to The Mandalorian. Fan favorites Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen will reprise their roles as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. It is confirmed that the pair will have another duel and the possibility of flashbacks to the Clone Wars is also there. The show is set 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith so we’ll most likely see a young Luke and Leia too. Pam & Tommy is one of the hottest new shows coming out in 2022. The eight-episode biography and drama will be a mini-series focusing on the whirlwind romance of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. Lily James and Sebastian Stan are unrecognizable in their roles. The story begins with the couple marrying in 1995 after only knowing each other for a mere 96 hours. The show will also feature the likes of Nick Offerman and Seth Rogen. Creator Robert Siegel visualizes one of the biggest celebrity scandals in history. Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson’s infamous sex tape was stolen from their home in 1995. A recently released trailer gives the viewers a pretty good idea about one of the newest shows coming up in 2022. Pam & Tommy will premiere on Hulu. The show won’t feature the real Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee but they knew about the creation of the show for some time. The Mötley Crüe drummer even approved of it. Three episodes of the show will even feature fellow bandmates Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, and Mick Mars. The biography romance-drama premieres on February 2, 2022.

The Last of Us

The Last of Us is a new TV show that will premiere in 2022 on HBO and HBO Max. The show is based on the critically acclaimed 2013 video game that has won over 200 Game of the Year awards. The main characters are Joel Miller and Ellie, naturally. They will be portrayed by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay, who both starred in Game of Thrones before. The idea of a movie or TV show has been looming in the air ever since 2014. There was even a lot of “fan-casting” and betting going on earlier this year about who will play Joel in the series. Pedro Pascal was revealed in February 2021 as the main character. The show is set in the post-apocalyptic U.S. where the strength, wit, and skills of both characters will be tested. With an already established huge fanbase, The Last of Us is one of the hottest new shows coming out in 2022. The creator and writer of the original story, Neil Druckmann, is also involved with the show. Not much is known about the show yet and the filming only took place in October. Chances are that The Last of Us will premiere in the second half of 2022. At least it looks like it.
