1. Poetic Flare – 8/13

If you’re going to bet on Glorious Goodwood this is perhaps the easiest choice you can make. You can always bet on the Sussex Stakes to have a firm favorite and this year is no exception. Poetic Flare is going at 8/13 on Bet365 right now and that’s fair enough. It came first over this mile distance at Ascot just last month, romping home over four lengths clear. So it has a great chance and a bet on Poetic Flare is thus probably a good move if you’re not too knowledgeable.

2. Just Fine – 7/1

Named after the Hungarian horse that never lost in fifty-four races you can bet on the Kincsem Handicap to excite. That’s why we think you should bet on Just Fine at 7/1. Sure it’s not the favorite but you shouldn’t limit your bet on Glorious Goodwood to just those with short odds. Upsets are not uncommon. So, for those who like to bet on sports in the UK at Bet365, Just Fine might do just fine. It won at Sandown in June over a mile and two, and this race isn’t as far.

3. Snowfall – 7/2

Snowfall goes in the Nassau Stakes. That’s a Group 1 flat race that covers a mile, a furlong and a hundred and ninety-seven yards for fillies and mares. As such it always makes for a great bet on Glorious Goodwood. It’s a showcase of some of the best flat racing and features many of the best jockeys. We’ve gone for Snowfall in this prestigious race because it’s won three times in as many outings over just this sort of distance. Indeed a bet on Snowfall really ought be mandatory now.  Bet On Glorious Goodwood

4. Magical Morning – 8/1

There is perhaps no mile long handicap more famous. So a bet on the Golden Mile Handicap is perhaps the most obvious bet on Glorious Goodwood you can make. It always collects a stunning array of horse and riders and this year is no exception. Hence, this time we’re going for Magical Morning at 8/1 after its squeak win at Sandown. We think this horse has more in it and the odds on Magical Morning at online betting sites in the UK like Bet365 make it a superb wager.

5. Dragon Symbol – 9/2

You can bet on Dragon Symbol to keep the Goodwood King George Stakes interesting. Sure, it’s a five furlong blast, but that doesn’t mean it’s a foregone conclusion. Right now, at 9/2, Dragon Symbol, sits alongside Winter Power at the same price just behind Battaash at 5/4. Just recently Dragon Symbol has slipped into a pattern of coming second so if you’re faint of heart, go each way, but some of us think Dragon Symbol is a great bet on the Goodwood King George Stakes.

6. Alpinista – 7/2

At a mile and six furlongs this is the middle distance of horse racing. So you can always bet on the Lillie Langtry Stakes to attract a very mixed field. This year we think Alpinista will beat those odds on the Lillie Langtry Stakes which have it trailing Wonderful Tonight. We recommend a bet on Alpinista because it’s only raced twice in the last year or so and won both times. Yes, over shorter distances, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still a great bet on Glorious Goodwood right now.

7. Fresh – 12/1

A bet on the Steward’s Cup is always a bit tricky. Blazing fast and open to 3 year olds and up, anything can happen. You can find far easier races to take advantage of UK gambling laws to bet on. Even the bookies find predicting this one tricky. That’s why we’ve gone for the rather outside chance of Fresh at 12/1. Sure a bet on Fresh is perhaps a bit of a longshot, but it has won over this distance this year at Ascot and there are worse choices for a bet on Glorious Goodwood.
