1. Michael van Gerwen aims to keep his number one title

Michael van GerwenThe current world number one is Dutch ace, Michael van Gerwen. In 2006, at the age of 17, he managed to win the 2006 World Masters. That made him the youngest player ever to win a major darts title. ‘Mighty Mike’ joined the PDC circuit in 2007. Usually, the champion is too busy flying from country to country, but when he has enough time, he prefers to train two or three hours a day. Also, he likes to look at other games to see what could he improve. Mighty Mike’s odds for taking the title are 1.91, on the other hand, the odds that he is not going to win are estimated at 1.83.

2. Gary Anderson has enough experience to take the title

Scottish star Anderson is amongst the darts' most successful players. Anderson has recently won the Champions League of Darts title for the first time with an 11-4 victory over Peter Wright in the final in Brighton. The Scotsman’s odds for winning PDC Masters in February are 5.5. If you believe he is not the one to win the race, you can bet against him. Anderson’s odds for not taking the title are estimated at 1.125 on 1xBet Sportsbook.

3. Michael Smith wants to create history

The 2013 World Youth Champion joined the PDC circuit as a teenager. Being just one step away from living his dream, Smith wants to do his best during the competition. Since 2012, he has always been close but never managed to win the PDC. This year, Bully Boy’s odds for winning the title are 9. On the other hand, his odds for not taking the title are estimated at 1.04.

4. Rob Cross practices for a takeover

Rob Cross
Rob Cross, also known as ‘the Voltage’ is the Sussex-based electrician who appeared in 2016 UK Open. The talented player then joined the PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour and won three tournaments right away. He quickly reached his first full ranking title at a Players Championship, in March 2017. Cross's goal is to become the world number one. As a matter of fact, Cross practices twice a day. For the purpose of progression, he is practicing around lunchtime for one or two hours, as well as in the evening. Notably, his exercise usually starts off with round the board on doubles, having to hit two out of three before moving on to the next number. Considering the determination, Cross might be one to bet on, his odds for winning are 10.

5. Peter Wright will probably not make it till the end

The World number 3 could not score at the World Darts Championship on 16th December. Wright was defeated and sent home, however, he did not lose his confidence. This Masters’ might be a chance for him to show his worth. His odds for a win are 11 at online sportsbook sites in the UK. Most likely, he will not have a title this time. The 48-year-old player has odds for not winning estimated at 1.008. Check out our latest review about 1xBet Sportsbook to find out more about their offers and services before betting!
