Pirlo Done in Italy, Liverpool Might Be His Next Club

Andrea Pirlo is reported to move to the Premier League at the end of the season.

36-year-old world champion midfielder Andrea Pirlo is about to exit Juventus at the end of the season, gambling news report. The deep-lying playmaker has one more year left on his contract, but he is about to move on from the Old Lady this summer. He joined the Turin-based club in 2011 and won four Scudettos with them since.

According to Italian sources, Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in bringing the veteran midfielder to the Premier League. He might be the perfect replacement for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who turns 35 at the end of the May and who is joining Los Angeles Galaxy at the end of the season. This move would shock many punters at online sportsbooks however.

Champions League success would be perfect finish at Juve


Pirlo expressed that he want to finish with career at the Zebras with a European Cup. He said, „Ending my Juventus story by pocketing the Champions League would be a dream come true.” Juve winning the title woulde be an upset, according to mobile betting operators however. Pirlo won the trophy twice while at AC Milan, but he is yet to collect an international cup with Juve.

Pirlo also stated that he is not going to retire anytime soon, saying, „I won't stop playing, I'll go on as long as I have the same great desire to keep training every day.” It would be an exciting move if he ended up in England this summer. He would suit in Liverpool’s system perfectly, while, being an Italian, he would also be a great addition to Chelsea’s reactive football as well.
