Poker pro Nick DiVella wants to introduce a poker blacklist against Lederer.

It has been weeks since Howard Lederer has been in the United States online gambling news. Now the badman returns.

Lederer’s legal counsel has filed a motion to dismiss the Black Friday $42.5 million civil complaint pending against the former Full Tilt boss. It is a second time the lawyer files a motion to dismiss after additional allegations had been filed against Lederer.

Lederer’s attorney asserted that charges against the American gambling laws in the Second Amended Complaint were “threadbare and lacking in extensive factual support”. The legal counsel also stated: “the Second Amended Complaint is so structurally complex that it takes a cartographer to understand what is being alleged and against whom.”

Las Vegas professional poker player Nick DiVella has initiated a protest about Lederer’s presence in the Aria Casino poker room. DiVella even wrote and circulated a petition to be signed by fellow pro poker players who also oppose Lederer’s former actions. DiVella hopes that fellow pros will not cooperate in any form with Lederer until US online poker players will be completely refunded.

DiVella’s petition reads: “We believe the casino has a moral and ethical obligation to bar Howard Lederer from playing in the poker room and should Aria casino fail to take immediate action we, the poker playing community, will be forced to boycott the poker room.”

DiVella posted a Twitter message saying: “He (Lederer) does not deserve to play. Maybe this will be the start of a poker blacklist.”

The Aria Casino declined to be involved and refused saying anything about the petition.
