Police in India Catches Government Officials While Playing Illegal Gambling Games

Special group from the Local crime branch of the Gandhinagar police in India arrested 12 people, while they were performing illegal gambling activities.

This gambling news was spiced by the fact that most of the players were civil servants, who were working for various departments of different government institutions.

Police action

Local crime branch officials reported that the team received information that forms of gambling against Indian gambling laws were taking place in a house in Sector 22.

The police performed its duties excellent and raided a block in “Ch” scheme. Meanwhile, all the bettors made an attempt to escape, but the police team managed to arrest 12 people.

The squad seized various items like mobile phones, playing cards, vehicles, etc. They managed to identify the owner of the house – Sonsinh Rathod – who got immediate charges as the primary responsible person. Rathod was declared missing at the moment.

Sector 21 police officers commented that the accused players appeared in front of the court in the beginning of the week and are currently released on bail.
