Betting on fantasy sports is becoming more and more popular in the US, but Republican Frank Pallone does definitely not like that.

US gambling laws allow betting on fantasy sports, however that might change in the near future. Frank Pallone, a Republican representative of the Committee on Energy and Commerce, has said that betting on fantasy sports needs to be reviewed as it seems to be a murky business. Pallone also complained how punters are not allowed to wager on fantasy sports winner teams, only on the performances of the players.

Pallone’s main problem is that he saw tons of advertisements promoting fantasy sports gambling. The Republican said it was unacceptable that only one week has passed since the beginning of the NFL, but already there were way too many commercials about betting on fantasy sports. This activity became incredibly popular, however it is still unproven whether or not it would be 100% legal to wager on fantasy sports.

Betting on fantasy sports is also available at Google Play

Google Play used to ban DraftKings to launch their services at the Android market place as they apply a no-gambling policy. Those who wanted to play fantasy sports had to download and install a separate file after turning off their security settings. DraftKing’s application has now been made available in the app store, however they still stick to their policy which forbids the act of ambling through their servers.

Pallone’s attention has been called mostly because of Google Play’s decision. The Republican representative wants to review the legitimacy of betting on fantasy sports, which would be the first major challenge for the most well-known internet betting sites that provide fantasy sports gambling. These companies are DraftKings and FanDuel. They will need to prove that betting on fantasy sports is not murky at all. We are all looking forward to their arguments!
