Delaware sports gambler loses just narrowly as he almost turned a $5 wager into a staggering win of over $100,000.

According to gambling news, an anonymous sports fan was on a hot betting streak during the weekend for wagers made on NFL parlay. However, all of his hopes of winning a massive prize were dashed after he lost the last game which cost his greatly. He almost managed to pull off a miracle by converting a $5 wager into an impressive $100,000.

The gambler that almost took home a six-figure check, secured a total of 14 straight games (against the spread) correctly, except the final unlucky one. It was reported that he only needed the Colts to beat the Eagles by more than a field goal. Initially, the Colts were ahead with 17-6 at halftime, however in the end they succumbed to defeat losing a total of 30-27.

The director of Delaware Lottery, Vernon Kirk, stated that the whole organization supported the anonymous gambler to make a historic win. “Honestly, we were rooting for the guy, starting with Sunday night’s game. Our risk manager told us Sunday night that only one person had hit 14 games and needed the Bears and Colt.”

No one has managed to hit one of the 15-team, $5 parlay in the state for over three years now. Mobile betting sites report that the odds stood at a massive 32,000 to 1, making the wager quite improbable. Delaware is one four states in the US allowed to offer sports betting, however players cannot bet on a single game but have to go all out.
