The Supreme Court aims to achieve that legalised sports betting in India is soon to be reality instead of a fiction.

Indian gambling news might allow a regulated way of online sports betting in the near future. It would be great news for all sports fans in the Asian country since sports betting is one of the most popular activities in the world. The suggestion to legalised sports betting in India came from a Supreme Court panel.

Legalized sports betting in India would not only make the population happier and make them feel like more of a free country, but it would also probably boost the country’s economy. In addition, legalised sports betting in India would also empower the national sport, cricket, which could win even more publicity, should the gambling law be introduced.

Is legalized sports betting in India the entrance to corruption and fraud?

I believe that the answer to that question is no. Well, partially. Of course legalized sports betting in India itself cannot stop corruption and gambling fraud entirely, the country would need very specific and very effective gambling laws to be that good. However, cheaters have a lot harder job when sports betting is regulated nationwide.

That is because those who frequently bet on sports will do bet on sports, whether or not it is legal. They will find a way to make it legal within their own world.

So why not let the state get some income from it if people will do it anyways? Moreover, they can regulate who plays and how to play, so that they can reduce corruption’s possibility to the minimum.
