Kylian Mbappe has the Biggest Football Contract in the World

Earlier this year, PSG’s surprise announcement shocked the entire football world. 23-year-old Kylian Mbappe signed a contract extension with the Parisians despite rumors of him leaving for Madrid. His new three-year-long contract is reportedly worth €630 million. This is not only the biggest footballer contract entering 2023 but the biggest contract of an athlete ever.

Fast forward a couple of months and online sportsbook news in Spain already reported that Mbappe is unhappy at PSG. The striker denied these rumors but the truth will emerge eventually. Furthermore, mainly because of such rumors, Kylian became one of the most hated footballers in 2022. He’s slowly redeeming himself however as France continues to excel at the World Cup.

PSG is Paying Top Money for just one Season of Lionel Messi

Messi will become a free agent in the summer but until then, his current contract remains one of the biggest in the world. The 35-year-old’s one-year contract is worth around €62 million. Messi’s salary accounts for about 17% of PSG’s annual payroll for this season. Comparatively, Mbappé’s contract takes up about 20% of the payroll.

On the bright side, PSG’s superstars are some of the top performers in football this season. Big things are expected of them both on the domestic and international levels. If interested, check out our World Cup betting guide as Messi’s Argentina move closer to the ultimate goal.

If it’s Expensive, Neymar has to be Included

Surprise, surprise, Neymar’s is the third biggest football contract entering 2023. PSG love their super trio and it seems they’re willing to do anything to keep them together. The Brazilian signed a contract extension last year which should keep him in Paris until 2025, the same as Mbappe. According to online sportsbook news in Spain, the extension is worth up to €169 million.

Neymar’s salary this season accounts for 15% of the payroll. PSG’s trio earns more than the rest of the team combined. Over five years after his move to Paris, Neymar is still the most expensive football transfer ever. Let’s see if PSG can achieve anything this season.

Eden Hazard – Biggest Footballer Contracts Entering 2023

Hazard’s move from Chelsea to Real Madrid is considered one of the worst transfers of all time. The forward cost Los Blancos €115 million in 2019. His current contract is set to expire in 2024 and the Belgian is hell-bent on proving his doubters wrong. Hazard is expected to earn just above €31 million per season.

The 31-year-old recently announced his retirement from international football after Belgium’s disastrous performance at the World Cup. On the other hand, Hazard also announced that he plans to stay in Madrid until his contract runs out and will try to do his best. But is his best worth €31 million per year?

Mohamed Salah is the Highest-Paid Liverpool Player of All Time

Liverpool and Premier League fans are aware of the Mo Salah-Sadio Mane situation. The club had to let one of the players go and they decided to extend Salah’s contract. This extension is supposed to keep the Egyptian forward at the club until 2025. The three-year-long contract is worth around €63 million and pays €21 million per year.

After his new contract, Salah became the highest-paid Liverpool player of all time. It comes without saying that he’s currently the highest-paid Premier League player as well, as far as base contracts go. English football will return soon so if you want to follow Salah and the Reds, head over to 20Bet Sportsbook.
