  • It's a chance for the first loss of Nurmagomedov
  • Bookies seem to underestimate Ferguson
The long-awaited fight between Ferguson and Nurmagomedov is finally about to happen. They had this match scheduled for five times, but it was always canceled for some reason. According to online sportsbook news in the US, the fight is going to happen in Barcley's Center, Brooklyn, At UFC249, April 19. The fighters are finally going to stand in the octagon. We are getting closer to one of the most anticipated fights of the year. Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov odds is not indicating a very tight fight. While bookies fail into the mistake of thinking that beating Connor McGregor makes Nurmagomedov invincible, you should not the same thing. Sure I understand, you want to see the rematch of Khabib and Connor, who wouldn't? While Nurmagomedov has never lost a match, Ferguson's previous battles were astonishing and bloody. He is on 12 times winning streak.  While Dana White announced that he is looking forward to schedule a Nurmagomedov vs McGregor fight later already at this year, Nurmagodov first has to go through nr1 contester Tony Ferguson to clear the lightweight division. Nurmagomedov is a beast at it's best, but as we know Ferguson is the boogieman itself.

The fighting style of the fighters

Nurmagomedov is a ground-and-pound fighter, probably one of the best in the world. He has a wrestling-based style. If he happens to force Ferguson to the cage and tying him up, there could be some problems for Ferguson. However, it is not so easy to put Ferguson against the cage. His offbeat unpredictable moves are quite a mess to get ready for or read them. He loves to cut up people with his elbows. While Nurmagomedov was never bleeding in any match, I don't think he would be scared of seeing his own blood. However, being a skinny, edgy character Ferguson's elbows and fists are working as a real weapon. His freestyle or WWE moves can be really fun to watch but not so sure if he is going to use any of them against an enemy with such caliber as Nurmagomedov.

A doctor stoppage can change the Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov oddsFile:Tony Ferguson Mexico City.jpg

Looking at the previous opponents of Ferguson one can think that they got hit by a bus made of glass. These guys are really looking like they were coming out of a z -horror movie. And  Ferguson is crazy, just watch the end of his last fight (win with doctor stoppage) against Pettis. At the end of round six, they stop the fight due Pettis claims a broken hand. They also have to remove a nasal bone fracture of him afterward. At this point, Ferguson is bursting out in tears screaming blood covered in the middle of the Octagon. This is not a scream of relief or victory, it's a desperate scream of disappointment over the fact that they can't continue. He is probably really crazy, her wife Christina, was filing a restraining order against him. She was not claiming any abuse or violence but made the restraint to force Ferguson to have some mental help. She said Ferguson had uncharacteristic behavior like sleep deprivation and paranoia. Ferguson's last fight against Cerrone was spectacular indeed, however, it wasn't as victorious. I mean if he didn't throw that punch right after the bell when Cerrone was off of fight mode already they could have continued and maybe the end would be different. However, a doctor stoppage could seriously improve the chances of Ferguson.

The fighters are heated

Well, not as heated as the relationship was between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, but the fact that the match was scheduled for five times sure gives it some heat. There were many cases during pre-fight interviews, where they were changing some words instead of punches. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqI2a33yyKM

The Aftermath of the game - Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov Odds

All an all we can say that it's going to be a hard fight. While bookies are favorizing Nurmagomedov a bit too much, he sure has better wrestling skills than Ferguson. Ferguson is a funny guy when he is talking outside of the octagon, but once he gets in there things change a lot. I would vote for a doctor stoppage, but who knows maybe Nurmagomedov can succeed with his wrestling style. Check out our online sportsbooks in the US section to find the best odds on the internet.
