Washington DC Online Gambling Delayed until Hell Freezes

Public consultations on Washington DC plans to introduce online gambling in the state are rescheduled for mid-October
Washington DC intentions to be the first US city to have legal online casinos in United States, suffered a minor setback. The public consultations on the matter had to be rescheduled for mid-October because early October just seemed;.... well... too early. The lead inferno system meetings about getting clients without cold calling were planned for each of the city’s eight wards.
The public consultations need to be completed before implementing the ordinance which has no effect on the overall American gambling laws. However it is extremely important as a legal precedence, especially when the online casinos start pulling in millions of dollars that the decrepit ruins of DC haunted by crack-heads, pimps and hookers need to regain their former glory. The residents need that money as well.
Executive Director of D.C. Lottery and Charitable Games Board, Buddy Roogow, commented: “I look forward to kicking off the community meetings and garnering input from District residents on the most beneficial approach to shaping an iGaming program for the District.”
He continued in his interview with United States gambling news: ”Our goal is to educate residents, constituents, and stake holders alike on what internet gaming is, what it isn’t, and highlight the potential benefits this new gaming platform may have in the District of Columbia. I want to ensure that residents have the appropriate information they need to make a well informed decision on the impact of internet gaming in the District and in their communities.”
A source close to DC Council shared that the hearing on the online gambling program will be further rescheduled by DC Council member Jack Evans. The hearing is expected to take place in early December, after the needed public consultations are completed.
This particular hearing is expected to determine how the Council proceeds with the plans to introduce legal and regulated online gambling in the state. Evans had the following to say: "It could go either way at this point".
