What Makes Bernie Sanders Run?

Bernie Sanders’ run is built upon being an original candidate on the Democratic ticket with a lack of showmanship we’ve seen in others, like Donald Trump, that keeps him invisible.

• Bernie Sanders’ odds in Las Vegas are below 10 to 1
• Bernie Sanders’is leading in the New Hampshire Primary
• Bernie Sanders is trying to weaken Clinton’s hold in the South

Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama were both Junior Senators upon entering the candidacy for U.S. President. That’s where the similarities end. Obama was a Junior Senator from Illinois well known for his speaking ability. Sander’s Vermont Senatorial post is respectable, but he’s not well known.

The realism of Bernie Sanders’ run can be seen through Vegas. Odds in Las Vegas for winning the American presidential election 2016 are below 10 to 1. The fact that he’s tied with Donald Trump says it all. How could one of the more original presidential candidates on either ticket have such low odd? More importantly, what can Sanders’ do to possibly beat Hillary Clinton who is Vegas’ overall top pick?

Sander has potential

If Sanders were a stronger opponent, he could endanger the Democratic candidacy. Just as Ralph Nader demolished Al Gore’s run for president in 2000. Although Nader was an independent, Sander’s could easily split the Democratic vote. The resentment left in the party could lead to more sway towards the Republican ticket. Unlike Nador, Bernie Sander’s run for the presidency lacks such cunning.

Bernie Sander’s run could be a testament to his decency. He is a man with his own ideas. He doesn’t follow the beaten path and he’s willing to speak his mind. We saw that in his classic rant on Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan in 2003. Unfortunately, Sander’s lost some serious steam in his strides over the years. Many punters looking to gain money mobile betting may overlook Sanders.

Sander’s unwavering connection to the common people will serve him. He as accused the many with being out of touch with the people. Unfortunately, the 74-year old was quickly overlooked by the media. Considered as old and washed up, the media looked for more sensationalism. Republican candidates such as Trump, Carson and Rubio proved more newsworthy. Luckily, their rhetoric is fading.

Where does he think he’s going?

Sanders’ has presented himself as a candidate in touch the “the people.” He quickly set himself apart from his democratic competitors by criticizing current economic policy. Sander’s strong belief in financial reform helped turn heads. His inability to create controversy from every issue like Trump has hurt him. He might be a more serious candidate, but one who’s not as fun.

Sanders’ run has taken a turn since his impressive show in recent weeks. Currently leading the New Hampshire primary, Sanders is attacking Clinton with surgical precision. With a strong position in Iowa, the press is a bit dumbfounded by Sanders’ progress. Once again the media spent too much time highlighting lofty statements. Sanders, like his campaign is rooted to the ground.

Why won’t he get there?

Last week Bovada pegged Sanders with +500 odds. He is the third overall pick behind Donald Trump. Since he won his debate with Clinton last Sunday, Bernie Sanders’ run is on nitrous. The Northern Junior Senator is hitting the South with a new fervor. With strong economic policies, he’s trying to put a dent into the “black vote” which Clinton dominates.

Former Attorney General Erik Holder and most of the Congressional Black Caucus back Clinton.

Many African-Americans side with Hillary out of their loyalty for her husband. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama will campaign for Hillary. This will minimize Sanders’ chances of gaining man African-American voters. Such factors will go through the minds of those internet betting in the U.S.. His record on gun control will not help Sanders. Five times he turned down the “Brady Bill” aimed at gun control . Sanders’ desire to reform Obamacare has given Hillary a big target to strike. If there is a battle for the Democratic ticket, Clinton will most likely win. She is a woman and controls the minority vote. The 74-year old Vermont politician will get the respect the media has long denied him.
