The 2021 Eurovision is one of the hottest topics of discussion this spring. The long-awaited song contest will take place on May 18-22 and its fans can’t wait for the show. So do online sportsbooks in Russia where you can already bet on the winner. Last year, the ESC was canceled, so countries had to choose their representatives from scratch. While most participants from 2020 got another chance to perform in Rotterdam, some countries decided to make a fresh start. For instance, Russia announced its new contestant just a few days ago. Let’s see who will go to the Netherlands in 2021 and how Russia's Eurovision 2021 odds reacted to this change.

Who had to represent Russia on ESC in 2020?

Last year, the Russian band Little Big had to perform in Rotterdam. Their song for the ESC named Uno was released on March 13, 2020, and immediately became a hit. The music video for the song reached 190 million views and became the most viewed video on the Eurovision Song Contest's YouTube channel ever as of 2021. Bookmakers gave Little Big one of the best odds to win Eurovision 2020. Uno was competing with Iceland’s Daði og Gagnamagnið for first place at 1xBet Sportsbook and other betting sites. The band had to perform on this year’s ESC as well but Little Big refused to participate at the last minute. According to some sources, they were dismissed from the show due to political reasons but it was never confirmed. It could be true as one of the band members supported protests in Russia. Anyway, the country has already chosen its new contestant - let’s see who it is!

Manizha is Russia’s new contestant on Eurovision

On Women’s Day, Russia chose Manizha’s Russian Woman to be the country’s entry in 2021. A folk-rap song half in Russian, half in English has beaten the other competitors with 39% votes against #2Mashi's 35.7% and Therr Maitz’s 24.6%. Russian Woman is a hymn to feminism celebrating women’s transformation into strong and independent ladies.  Despite the hot-topic theme and unusual song style, people criticized Manizha’s performance on Russian social media. The viewers called the televoting fake as it happened  "too quickly" and predicted Russian Woman to take one of the last places on ESC. Let’s see what online gambling sites in Russia say about Russia's Eurovision 2021 odds.

What is updated Russia's Eurovision 2021 odds to win?

According to 1xBet, Russia has lost its leading positions at bookmakers in 2021. Last year, the country’s entry entered the top-3 by betting odds. This year, Manizha’s winning chances are only 15th with 31.00 odds. It seems that the next Eurovision Song Contest is unlikely to take place in Moscow in 2022. However, you can still bet on favorites of the ESC. Currently, Lithuania has the best winning chances on Eurovision 2021. The Roop’s dance hit Discotheque conquered people’s hearts and bookmakers’ sites as well. Switzerland is second with 5.4 odds on the beautiful composition Tout l’univers. Finally, Finland, France, and Bulgaria are also among the main favorites by most betting sites. Who do you think will win this year?
