2021 is the year of the 78th Golden Globe gala, which will take place on 28th February. For the last couple of weeks there has been speculations about the upcoming awards. 2021 Golden Globe TV predictions: who can win?

We already discussed, which movies could run to be the best motion picture in drama and musical/ comedy categories. And we already know one person, who is going to receive an award this year. It’s no less person than Jane Fonda herself. She is to be honored with a lifetime achievement award after receiving many Golden Globes in the past. The HFPA said: „Her undeniable talent has gained her the highest level of recognition” – and we can agree. According to Variety, the Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series (drama) is likely to go to Olivia Colman for The Crown. The second runner is Laura Linney for her performance in Ozark, the third is Sarah Paulson for Ratched. They predict that Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer also stands a chance and so does Jurnee Smollett (Lovecraft Country). They are the most expected to be nominated. As for the same category for men, the first place as a possible nominee goes to Jason Bateman for Ozark. He is followed by Matthew Rhys for his performance in Perry Mason, then Pedro Pascal for The Mandalorian. Jonathan Majors is also a possibility for Lovecraft Country and Al Pacino for Hunters.
