The next event of the LPGA Tour is the Hugel-Air Premia LA Open held this week, between the 21st and 24th of April. This will be only the third edition of the tournament but still a very strong field is taking part in it. From the world ranking leader Jin Young Ko to the American top players. After the first day, Jessica Korda leads and is in the top favorites to win in the 2021 LPGA LA Open predictions.  The Hugel-Air Premia LA Open was held first three years ago, in 2018 at the Wilshire Country Club. It has organized events in the PGA Tour before, but now its course welcomes the best women golfers. Thai Moriya Jutanugarn won the first event in 2018 and currently stands in second place. Australian Minjee Lee is the defending champion after winning the open in 2019. She is also competing this time but didn’t have such a great first day. Unlike Jessica Korda who took the lead after she birdied her last three holes yesterday. But she won’t have an easy job to win the event against other top players, including her sister, Nelly.

2021 LPGA LA Open predictions favor the Korda sisters

Online sportsbooks in the US offer the smallest odds, +650 for the victory of Nelly Korda. She is in T4 position after the first day but can still win the event. Just like she did already in this year’s Gainbridge Championship back in February. The younger Korda sister is 4th at the moment in the world ranking following her recent great results. As she finished 3T in the Ana Inspiration and 2T in the Lotte Championship last week. She didn’t make the cut here in the previous two occasions, but she can certainly improve on her record now.  Just like her sister, Jessica Korda who also has one victory this season after winning the Diamond Resorts Tournament. Her next best result was a T8 finish in the LPGA Drive On Championship but she doesn’t have any other top 10 finishes this season. Now Korda seems to find her form though. Her 7-under 64 record in Round 1 tied the course record of other American players Megan Kang and Annie Park. The world No21 has the odds of +700 to win her 7th LPGA title.

Top players from the world ranking are also in the favorites

The current world No1, Jin Young Ko and world No3 Sei Young Kim are also mentioned in the favorites by online gambling sites in the US. Both of them have the odds of +750 to get the victory. Ko has six top 7 finishes in her last seven events. Including her win at the CME Group Tour Championship. She also had great results from this course after finishing 5th in 2019. While Kim has shown a great form in the last two events this season. As the South Korean finished T3 in the Ana Championship and T2 in the Lotte Championship in Hawaii. She is in T9 place at the moment so needs to improve in the next few days in order to win.  The 2018 winner of the LA Open, Moriya Jutanagarn is doing great so far and follows Korda in T2. The Thai player got her only LPGA victory here and has the odds of +1200 to win here again on BetOnline. The 2013 LPGA Rookie of the Year winner finished T10 in this year’s ANA Inspiration but didn’t make the cut in other events. Yesterday she didn’t have a great start but thanks to her great finish, she has a real chance of winning. While the 2019 winner, Minjee Lee tries to get a good result following her disappointing performance in Hawaii. The Australian currently stands only in T43 so her title defense seems unlikely at the moment.
