Amyl and the Sniffers Lead the 2022 ARIA Awards Best Album Odds

The 2019 winner of the Rock Album category, Amyl and the Sniffers is the favorite to win the Best Album category now. Online sportsbooks in Australia offer the smallest odds, 1.83 for their win. The pub and punk rock band from Melbourne released its second album, Comfort to Me last September. It reached the second spot in Australia and No21 in the UK Album Chart. The band, led by electrifying vocalist Amy Taylor headlined several major festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury. While they were also the open act for Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Greenday on the Hella Mega Tour this summer.  The 2022 ARIA Awards Best Album odds mention next a former nominee, Baker Boy who might win his first award this year. The Aboriginal Australian rapper released his debut album called Gela last October. It was already nominated in the same category at the J Awards of 2021. And he won the award at the National Indigenous Music Awards 2022. The 26-year-old rapper started as a dancer before switching to music. His first singles, Cloud 9 and Marryuna were already winning awards. While Baker Boy was also nominated in the AREA Awards six times so far. His odds to win the Album of the Year Award now are 3.74.

Other nominees include Rüfüs Du Sol and Gang of Youths

We can also find in the nominees the world-famous electric trio, Rüfüs Du Sol with their fourth studio album, Surrender. The album received generally good reviews and topped the Australian Albums chart. It was also 2nd in the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and 6th in the UK Dance Albums chart. In addition, they also won their first Grammy award with the lead single, Alive from the album. The band has already won the Best Dance Release category in the ARIA Awards three times before. Now they received seven nominations including the Best Album of the Year category. Their odds to win it as well are 7.00. Online gambling sites in Australia offer the same odds for the victory of the alternative rock band, Gang of Youths. The London-based group also received nominations for their first two albums. This year they received other four nominations for their third album called Angel in Realtime. It debuted No1 at the ARIA Albums Chart and No10 on the UK Albums Chart. The band has already won four ARIA Awards with their previous album, their odds to win again are also 7.00.  While the fifth nominee in the category, King Stingray’s odds are slightly better at 6.00 on 22Bet. The Yolnu surf rock band received five nominations for their self-titled debut album. While they already won the Rolling Stone Australia Awards Best New Artist award this year.
