The six-stage tournament of the 2022 World Series of Darts will conclude with the finals this weekend at the AFAS Live concert hall in Amsterdam. There a 24-player field will compete for the £70,000 prize money. The eight top-ranked players in the World Series Order of Merit are seeded in the tournament and will only join in the second round. Belgian Dimitri Van den Bergh leads this ranking after winning two stages in the series. He is followed by Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith, Michael van Gerwen and Jonny Clayton who all got one win. Eight players have been invited by the PDC including the current world champion, Peter Wright. And the only women participant, Fallon Sherrock. While the last remaining eight players qualified through a Tour Card Holder. The final starts on Friday, 16th of September and will end on Sunday evening.

Price Is the Top Favorite In the 2022 PDC World Series Betting Predictions

Gerwyn Price won the last World Series event in New Zealand at the end of August which was his only victory in the series. What’s more, it was his only major win in the season after losing in the final at the World Matchplay. He also finished as a runner-up in the World Cup of Darts playing along with Jonny Clayton in the Welsh team. But the world No1 is still the biggest favorite to win the finals now according to online sportsbooks in the Netherlands. They offer the smallest odds, 5.10 for his victory which would be his second WSOD Finals trophy. Price won the first two years ago, in 2020 but last year he only got to the quarter-finals.  Another main favorite as usual is the three-time world champion, Michael van Gerwen. He has an odds of 5.60 for the victory in the 2022 PDC World Series betting predictions. Van Gerwen has been in great form this season. He won one World Series event in Queensland and finished as a runner-up in the US Masters. In addition, MVG also won the 2022 World Matchplay and the Premier League finals. But he was out early in the Hungarian Darts Trophy two weeks ago. The Dutch world No3 has already won this event four times so far. So he will be surely aiming for another victory. While he can also rely on the support of the local fans unlike his big rival, Price.

Wright, Van den Bergh and Clayton can also perform well

Peter Wright missed three World Series events due to surgery. But he returned back with a win at the German Darts Open last weekend. It was the reigning world champion’s first major win in the season that can give him a big boost. But Snakebite won’t have an easy job in the event as he will start against Fallon Sherrock in the first round. The winner of the match will meet the third seed, Michael Smith in the next round. So that meeting can be a replay of the 2022 World Championship final. Wright has never won the WSOD Finals yet, now his odds to do so are 8.10. The leader of the WSOD Order of Merit, Belgian Dimitri Van den Bergh is having one of the best seasons of his career. He won two World Series events in Copenhagen and Amsterdam. While he also finished as a runner-up in the German Darts Open. The young Belgian got to the final in last year’s event. Now online gambling sites in the Netherlands offer an odds of 9.60 for his victory.  Both Jonny Clayton and Michael Smith won one event in this year’s World Series. The Welsh also reached the semi-finals at the Masters and the Premier League Finals. And he was the runner-up in the World Cup of Darts. The Ferret is also the defending champion of this event with an odds of 10.00 to win again. Smith won the first World Series event of the year in June, the 2022 US Masters. But he hasn’t been in such form recently. So his win would be a surprise now and has an odds of 19.00 on 22Bet.
