$7 Million Dollar Lottery Winner Doesn’t Want to Quit His Job

A Mexican immigrant, who works as a cook at a Staten island diner, and now a lottery winner doesn’t want to quit his job despite bagging a $7 million US lottery jackpot.

The 50-year-old Eduardo Reyes won $7 million on a Golden Ticket scratch-off game. That amount of money can change more lives not only his, but the lottery winner doesn’t want to quit his job for now, US gambling news report.

Reyes said after collecting his $7 million lottery winnings – $4.36 million after taxes – , that “I have always worked hard my whole life,” referring to the 17 years he has spent at his current job. He started as a dishwasher and worked his way up to becoming a cook.

Reyes revealed that he could foresee his fortune. He said, “I had a dream two nights before about having a lot of money. I had a feeling. I can’t explain.” Then he bought a $25 Golden Ticket, he scratched it immediately and he was stunned by the result. “I was in shock,” he said.

He hid the ticket for a week then went to the lotto HQ in the area to get his lottery winnings confirmed. Though the lottery winner doesn’t want to quit, he has plans. He wants to take his wife and one son to a vacation, then he would buy a property in the area. He explained, “I’ve been in Staten Island for 33 years. That’s my home, so I will buy a house there.”
