AACTA Global Star of the Decade Odds: Top Australian Actresses in the Favorites

As we wrote earlier, the Australian Academy of Cienema and Television Arts (AACTA) have offered the chance to the audience now to vote for their favorite Australian programs, films, and artists of the last decade. In the AACTA Global Star of the Decade odds, we find some of the most famous Australian actors and actresses. Let’s see who has the most chance to win the award. 

In the new AACTA Audience Choice Awards, fans can vote for their favorites in different categories from a shortlist made by screen professionals and critics. The Awards are celebrating the 10th anniversary. On this occasion, the organizers give the chance to the audience now to have their say of the last 10 years. One of the categories is the Global Star of the Decade one, where we can find the most popular Australian actors and actresses in the nominees. All of them are known all over the world after playing in huge blockbusters and Oscar-winning movies. Now we can finally see how famous they are in their homeland, Australia. 

There is no clear favorite in the AACTA Global Star of the Decade odds 

With so many great nominees in the category, even online sportsbooks in Australia couldn’t name a clear favorite. She also won the Best Actress Academy Award for The Hours in 2003 besides 3 other nominations. At the beginning of her career, she played in Australian films and TV series like Bangkok Hilton. Then she got world-famous following her roles in American movies like Batman Forever, The Peacemaker, or Baz Luhrmann’s musical Moulin Rouge. In the last 10 years, Kidman often starred in independent films like Strangerland. And she also returned to TV with Big Little Lies winning the Emmy Award for it. Biggest actor favorites

Besides acting in films Jackman also goes on tours where he sings from Broadway musicals. He also acts in the Broadway in different plays gaining new fans from the world of theatre. 

Another legendary male actor is Russell Crowe, who is actually a New Zealand citizen, but lived most of his life in Australia. He won the Best Actor Academy Award for playing Roman general Maximus in Gladiator in 2000. Also got nominations for The Insider and A Beautiful Mind. In the last decade, he played in films like Noah, the already mentioned Les Miserables, and comedy The Nice Guys. Crowe also had his directing debut with The Water Diviner where he also played the main role. He might play in less films now, but the actor is still loved by many fans. His odds to win the award is 7.50.
