Several top tennis players are taking part right now in the European Open held between the 19th and 25th of October in Antwerp, Belgium. Andy Murray is the defending champion but he is not competing this year. In his absence Milos Raonic has become the biggest favorite in the ATP Antwerp winner odds. But Belgian fans are hoping for a local victory.
The European Open is Belgium’s only ATP Tour Event since 2016 when the first edition of the tournament was held. We can find two French and two British players in the previous winners including last year’s champion Andy Murray. The Scottish player is not taking part in the event this time, but there are still a few well-known names in the participants. The top four seeds only join the competition in the second round with the final being held on Sunday afternoon.
ATP Antwerp winner odds mention Belgian player in the favorites
Online sportsbooks in Belgium offer the smallest odds, 5.50 for the victory of Milos Raonic in the ATP Antwerp winner odds. The former world No3 is currently in the 21st place in the world ranking. He had a mixed season so far with some early finishes in the Qatar and New York Open. But also reaching the quarter-finals at the Australian Open. After the return of the season the Canadian seems to be in better form as he managed to reach the final of the Western and Southern Open. He only got to the second round in the US Open though and missed the French Open. So it will be interesting to see which Raonic will show up now.

Belgian David Goffin is also mentioned in the favorites with the odds of 6.00 to win his 5th ATP title. Goffin is currently ranked 14th but he was No7 in 2017. He is the first Belgian male player to reach the top 10. This season Goffin got to the third round in the Australian Open and to the last 16 in the US Open last month. He reached his best result in the European Open four years ago when he played in the semi-finals. Now he has the chance to go even further but first Goffin has to win against American Marcos Giron on Thursday.
Other favorites to win the tournament
21-year-old Australian Alex de Minaur has the odds of 6.50 to win the Open. Even though he was almost knocked out in the first round yesterday by French Richard Gasquet. De Minaur came back from the brink after his opponent was serving at 5-4 in the second set for the game. But the world No18 kept his calm and fought back to win the match. He reached his first Grand Slam quarter-finals in the 2020 US Open. But he was out in the first round of the French Open. Now he will face Spanish Feliciano Lopez next with the odds of 1.25 to win the match.
Online gambling sites in Belgium also rank another Spanish player, Pablo Carreno Busta with a chance to win his first title of the season. He has been in great form since August and got to the semi-finals at the US Open. While he also reached the quarter-finals at the French Open. The Spanish needed some luck in the last 16 game against Novak Djokovic in New York. But he played superbly after and defeated Denis Shapovalov in the next round. Busta will make his debut at the European Open and has the odds of 8.00 to win here now.
