  • 2022 MotoGP season continues with the Argentine Grand Prix this weekend
  • The sport returns to the circuit after 2019
  • Francesco Bagnaia, Fabio Quartararo and Enea Bastianini in main favorites
The MotoGP circuit returns to Argentina following a three-year hiatus this weekend. The 2022 MotoGP Argentina winner odds mention last season’s top two riders, Bagnaia and Quartararo as the biggest favorites. Even though the Italian is only in 20th place after the first two races. Three-time race winner Marc Marquez won’t compete this time after still recovering from his crash in Indonesia.

The 2022 Argentina Grand Prix will take place on the same circuit as in the last 8 years, at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo where the last race was held in 2019. Marc Marquez won that race for the third time since 2014, making him the most successful rider in the circuit’s history. But the 6-time MotoGP champion will miss the event this year due to his crash in the previous Indonesian race. The team’s test rider, Stefan Bradl will replace him in Argentina. The absence of Marquez offers new opportunities for current top riders of the season. Like Ducati rider Enea Bastianini who currently leads the overall standings ahead of Brad Binder and the defending champion, Fabio Quartararo.

2022 MotoGP Argentina Winner Odds Favor Bagnaia In Spite Of His Poor Start

Francesco Bagnaia didn’t finish the first race of the new season and was only 15th in the previous one in Indonesia. Still, online sportsbooks in Argentina offer the smallest odds, 4.00 for his victory this weekend. They have good reasons for that. The Ducati rider was last season’s runner-up after a  great performance at the end of the year. He has been struggling in 2022 so far in spite of another Ducati rider leading the championship. But his motor is fast, and surely Bagnaia will try to prove it on the track. Where his best result has been a 7th-place finish in 2017 in the Moto2 category. The 2021 MotoGP champion, Fabio Quartararo has only raced at Termas once before, in 2019 but with the same Yamaha motor as he is riding now. The French rider finished second in the previous race in Indonesia and moved up to third place in the championship. The 2022 MotoGP Argentina winner odds mention him as the other top favorite with the odds of 5.00. The current championship leader follows last season’s top riders in the list of the biggest favorites. Even though Enea Bastianini was only 11th in the second race after a poor start ranked him in P20. But the Gresini Racing rider managed to move up in the field during the race. He got important points after his win in Qatar and kept his lead in the standings. His odds to win again are 8.00 on 22Bet.

2022 MotoGP Argentina Winner Odds: Can The Former Race Winners Perform Well Again?

Joan Mir has already won on this circuit once before in 2017. But the former Spanish world champion was riding in the smallest category (Moto3) then. Still, he has the experience that can help him to get another good result. With the odds of 12.00 to finish on top. Johann Zarco won this race twice before, back in 2015 and 2016 in Moto2. And he was close to victory in the top category as well in 2018 when he finished as the runner-up. Those years Zarco was riding for Yamaha and KTM while now he is racing for Ducati. It might not be such a big issue though as the French started the season well with a fifth and a third-place finish.  KTM rider Miguel Oliveira had an even better season start after winning the second race in Indonesia. It was a huge result from the Portuguese who had to retire in the first race in Qatar. Now Oliveira will aim to continue on same level on the track where he has already raced with the same factory. Online gambling sites in Argentina offer the odds of 11.50 for his win. His teammate, Brad Binder might face a tougher challenge this weekend after making is race debut with the factory team. But the South African has had a great start too after finishing second and eighth in the first two race. He is currently in second place in the overall standings, only two points behind the leader, Bastianini. With the odds of 15.00 to get the victory.
