Members of BetVictor can already bet on World Cup qualifying countries, as well as on all of the UEFA qualification games before they take place!

The first UEFA qualification games began in September of 2016, and will continue until November of 2017. A number of teams have essentially already solidified their placement in the 2018 World Cup, while others are still fighting for their spot.

The world-famous BetVictor sportsbook is now allowing their members to bet on which teams make it into the World Cup, and those that like to bet on sports in the UK will find some incredible odds here. Let’s take a look at some country’s odds to qualify.

England’s odds to qualify: 1/80

England has only failed to qualify for the World Cup three times in the history of the tournament. They’re one of only 8 teams to ever win the World Cup, but have failed to repeat that success in recent years. Still, England has one of the strongest national teams in the world, and are almost guaranteed to qualify this year with 4 wins and just 1 draw in their group.

2018 World Cup betting favorites

  • Germany: 11/2
  • Brazil: 7/1
  • Spain: 9/1
  • Argentina: 10/1
  • France: 7/1

It’s almost silly to bet on England at this point, as they have massively high odds of 1/80 to play in Russia next year. Their current roster is extremely strong right now, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see England towards the top of the list of 2018 World Cup betting favorites.

Scotland’s odds to qualify: 5/1

Scotland doesn’t have nearly the history of World Cup success that England does, but they’ve managed to play in 8 different World Cup tournaments, having never advanced past the first round. This year, Scotland is a great choice to bet on World Cup qualifying countries. They have gone 2-1-2 so far in Group F, but have a real shot at advancing with a win in their next game.

Scotland’s next qualifying game will take place on June 10th against England. With a win they may very well make it into the second round of qualifying games. At the moment, BetVictor lists their odds to make it into the 2018 World Cup at 5/1.

Republic of Ireland’s odds to qualify: 1/1

Ireland has looked fantastic thus far in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. They’re 3-2-0 so far, with notable wins over Georgia, Moldova, and Austria. If you’re looking to bet on the World Cup qualifying teams, a wager on Ireland advancing seems like a logical one.

The Boys in Green also have an extremely talented roster right now, as was made evident by their advancement into the knockout stage in the 2016 UEFA Championship. With odds of 1/1, Ireland isn’t exactly the most lucrative team to bet on, but they’re looking like a World Cup dark horse heading into the tournament.

Wales’ odds to qualify: 6/5

Wales has only played in one World Cup in their history, but many football betting experts feel they will earn their shot at playing in the 2018 tournament based on their performances in the qualifying group stage. As of May 2017, Wales sits just below Ireland with 7 points, and will likely move up the rankings with a win over Serbia in June.

While they’re a solid bet on World Cup qualifying teams at 6/5, not many online sportsbooks in the UK are giving Wales good odds to win the whole tournament. They possess some incredible players like Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey, but are serious betting underdogs at 150/1.
