The Hammers stand to have a tough time in the Premier League, however the addition of talented attacker Enner Valencia should help them greatly.

After finishing the 2012-13 Premier League season in a high 10th position, last year West Ham had to settle on a 13th place finish. Sam Allardyce was been in charge of the team since 2011 and has done a solid job of bringing them back to the Premier League in 2012.

Mobile betting firm Bet365 is offering odds of 2.10 (11/10) for West Ham to finish the Premier League with under 42 points. While their chances of making over 44 points stand at 2.25 (5/4).

The Hammers make promising recruits

During the summer transfer window, the Hammers made some quality singings. Defender Aaron Cresswell was purchased from Ipswich, while Carl Jenkinson was loaned from Arsenal. Attackers Difra Sakho and Muro Zarate were brought in from Metz and Velez Sarsfield respectively.

Midfielder Diego Poyet was signed on a free transfer from Charlton. Ecuador’s talented forward Enner Valencia was their most expensive acquisition in the summer, costing around GBP 11 million.
