Bodog Open for the Vietnamese Gambling Market

After announcing its plan to concentrate on the Chinese online casino market, Bodog88 turned towards another key country in the region: Vietnam.

The company launched sports betting and casino in Vietnamese. Online poker operations will commence at the end of 2012.

The needs of the Vietnamese players have been in total focus during the product development, as Vietnam is quite different in its online gambling habits to other markets in Asia.

Bodog88’s Managing Director, Robert Gustafsson, explained: “Vietnam has been overlooked by many online gaming companies which is surprising for a number of reasons, not least a population of over 90,000,000.”

It is easy to notice that the Vietnamese have certain unique gaming habits just as much as one can witness the obsession of Chinese bets on European football .

Gustafsson informed: “But, equally crucially, they are sports mad and love to bet in the same way the Chinese gamers love casino, with European soccer betting being at the top of the list.”

He informed: “Vietnam, like so many countries in Asia, also has a rapidly growing economy and, having first mover advantage in these countries, will be, I feel, extremely beneficial to Bodog88.”

With the Vietnamese version, Bodog88 extended its Asian offerings in Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Thai and English.

Bodog88 revealed that the company is looking to consolidate and enhance its products in these regions before developing services elsewhere in the world.
