Claudio Ranieri got sacked tonight, just before the second leg of Leicester City’s Champions League Round of 16 match against Sevilla. Who is going to be the next Leicester City manager and will he be able to keep the team in the Premier League? Those are the biggest questions regarding this issue.

Leicester City announced in an official statement earlier today that club’s greatest legend of all manager, Claudio Ranieri got sacked effective immediately. Online gambling news in the UK are shocked: Leicester City have been playing horribly this season, last year’s champions are in poor hopes or avoiding relegation by the end of the season. Although those dreams are getting further and further away after each matchday.

Leicester City = Galacticos?

The story is not unknown: Sell the most important player from your midfield, destroy your team and then blame it all on the manager. Remember something? That’s exactly what happened to Real Madrid during the first Florentino Pérez era when they sold Makelele and sacked Vicente del Bosque for not being able to win the championship. This year, Leicester city sold Kanté and have been incapable of showing good performances. Who’s to blame? The coach, duh!

Who will replace Ranieri as the next Leicester City manager?

Online sportsbooks in the UK are already trying to find the new Claudio Ranieri. According to the predictions by sports betting sites, Roberto Mancini and Gary Rowett are face-to-face favourites to be chosen as the new manager at Leicester City. The Italian man’s odds for Leicester’s helm are 2.75 (7/4), while those for Rowett are 7.00 (6/1) at BetVictor.

Other candidates are also in the race to be new Leicester City managers, such as Champions League winner Avram Grant or USA manager Jürgen Klinsmann with respective odds of 12.00 (11/1) and 26.00 (25/1) at Paddy Power. The club, of course, has not yet names Claudio Ranieri’s replacement.
