With the fight now less than two months away, it’s the perfect time to take a look at the Paddy Power odds for some crazy McGregor vs. Mayweather scenarios.

On August 26th, two of the most polarizing combat sport athletes of all time will face off in what will likely be the single biggest fight in history. Conor McGregor will be making the transition into pure boxing for the first time against arguably the greatest boxer to ever grace the ring, Floyd Mayweather.

We’ve already covered the odds for a few different scenarios taking place, but now Paddy Power is offering their members the chance to bet on some wild scenarios taking place. Let’s take a look at three.

McGregor kicks Floyd

In the lead up to this fight, many have speculated whether Conor McGregor will throw a kick at Floyd Mayweather. It would of course be illegal, but a kick may be exactly the type of thing that throws Floyd off his game.

McGregor vs. Mayweather odds

  • Floyd Mayweather: 1/6
  • Conor McGregor: 4/1
  • Draw: 50/1

In a recent interview, Dana White revealed that if Conor were to actually kick Floyd, he would face a lawsuit likely costing him millions. Everyone knows Conor loves money, but it’s not one of the most crazy McGregor vs. Mayweather scenarios for the Irishman to throw a kick.

At the moment, Paddy Power lists McGregor’s odds to make UK gambling news by kicking Mayweather at 12/1.

McGregor doesn’t land a punch

As we mentioned before, this will be Conor McGregor’s first foray into professional boxing. Mayweather, on the other hand, holds a perfect 49-0 record against some of the sport’s most talented and dangerous fighters including Canelo Alvarez and Miguel Cotto.

The massive discrepancy in experience here has led some online sportsbooks in the UK to offer odds that McGregor doesn’t land a single punch in the fight. That seems unlikely given that it’s scheduled for 12 rounds, but Mayweather’s defensive skill and Conor’s lack of boxing experience make this crazy McGregor vs. Mayweather scenario entirely possible.

The odds for this one are quite low. Even though Conor may not have the skill set that Floyd does, he’s a talented striker. At the moment, the odds that he doesn’t land a single punch are set at 50/1.

McGregor knocks Floyd Mayweather unconscious

While Floyd will almost assuredly come into this fight as the slicker boxer, there’s no denying that Conor is the heavier hitter. Of his 21 MMA wins, 18 have come via KO or TKO. Conor is also the much bigger fighter, having fought as high as 168 pounds. With this in mind, it’s not such a crazy McGregor vs. Mayweather scenario to imagine the Irishman earning a KO win on August 26th.

In some ways, it seems like a KO victory may be Conor’s best chance to beat Mayweather. It seems unlikely that he manages to outbox the boxer for a decision win, but if he can make the fight ugly and use his size and power, he may very well get the stoppage.

Paddy Power lists McGregor’s odds to KO Mayweather at 9/2. If he can get the knockout, it will be one of the most incredible upset victories in the history of combat sports.
