New York’s daily fantasy sport court case takes a second part: new accusations for DraftKings and FanDuels are on their way.

Although the state of New York made DraftKings and FanDuel operations legal, for New York Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman the battle is still not lost. His next attack on the daily fantasy sports giants is focused on an alleged fraud prior the legalization.

Retributive sanctions for New York’s daily fantasy sports magnates?

Schneiderman is now preparing the defense of a new argument, which according to the latest online gambling news in US, claims that the current legal status of daily fantasy sports, doesn’t imply erasure of previously illegal activities concerning them.”DraftKings and FanDuel are still culpable for their false advertising actions prior to the Legislature’s decision to legalize fantasy sports.”, claims Schneiderman.

Distinguishing gambling from daily fantasy sports

However, beside these claims, the battle to show that fantasy sports are primarily about skills and less about chance seems to be won in New York. The adopted Legislature makes clear distinction between daily fantasy sports sites and online gambling sites in US. Needless to say that with this progressive decision New York strengthens further its position as daily fantasy sports leader market in the US .
