Despite fielding the most inexperienced team in nearly a quarter of a decade, Team USA should win the Ryder Cup. They have that huge home crowd advantage, Europe’s form is questionable, and winning ‘away’ is always tricky anyway. So online sportsbook sites in the US like Bovada rightly give them very short odds on the 2021 Ryder Cup. However whilst on paper Europe look to have no hope at all, there is always the possibility of a Team USA meltdown under pressure.

We want the buzz.” Padraig Harrington is embracing the ‘bring-it-on’ attitude one can adopt as massive underdogs. What have you got to lose? A 40,000 strong crowd of loud partisan fans? Harrington is looking forward to meeting them, apparently. “Having no fans is no fun.” He points out. Perfectly true. However, he is aware that advantage the hosts have doesn’t benefit Europe’s odds on the 2021 Ryder Cup. He’s just ignoring it. Padraig talks like a man with a secret weapon.

I have played in six Ryder Cups and won five.” Ian Poulter smiles as if he’s that secret weapon. “I’m not here to blow my own trumpet but how many guys have delivered a higher points ratio?” He’s talking about 68% and it really is an impressive record. Still, you’ll need quite some nerve to bet on Europe in light of those odds on the 2021 Ryder Cup. ‘Poulter Power’ not withstanding. Of course, those who like to bet on sports in the US may prefer it to a bet on Team USA to win.

Bovada Has Your Bet On The Ryder Cup 2021

Online bookies in the US like Bovada offer ridiculously short odds on Team USA. So much so the odds on Europe start to look very attractive. Especially as there really is a chance they could revel in the challenge and not just wilt at Whistling Straits. You can always bet on golf to surprise everyone at the best of times. So why not this year too? Indeed Europe can take heart from the fact odds on the 2021 Ryder Cup are based on golfing performance. And this is also a soap opera.

Odds On The Ryder Cup 2021

  • Draw – 12/1
  • Europe – 2/1
  • USA – 1/2

Online betting sites in the US give odds on the 2021 Ryder Cup accurately pegging Team USA as better at golf. Naturally, in a golf tournament, that’s quite important. However, the Ryder Cup forces very individual players to reverse their usual mindset and play on a team. A team made up of all their rivals. This is where Europe has an advantage. Some of Team USA loathe each other. Dechambeau and Koepka for example. You could find those two dueling at dawn come Saturday.

Team USA Get The Best Odds On The 2021 Ryder Cup

Probably not.” Steve Stricker, Team USA captain, didn’t think pairing Brooks and Bryson together was a good idea. Everyone knows of their feudin’ an’ a fightin’ this season. “It’s a non-issue for me and the team.” Lied Steve. What were the odds on the 2021 Ryder Cup not seeing some drama? Exponential I suspect. Both players have made some awfully egotistical comments head of the tournament. So there’s a chance a lack of esprit de corps could just sink the USA.

“After all, it’s only golf.”

  • Padraig Harrington – European Captain

They already have the weight of expectation on their shoulders. If we see the first day go poorly the pressure alone could pop someone’s calm. Once that goes, it all goes. Crowd or no crowd. So if you’re going to take advantage of US gambling laws to pick up the odds on the 2021 Ryder Cup at Bovada, just remember; Despite being (on average) 20 places lower in the rankings, Europe are a team, whereas Team USA needs to put it in the title just in case they forget that bit.
