A big stir in the British gambling news, was caused by the fact that the Hippodrome Casino’s owners have decided to name George Constantinou as the company’s new director of online operations ahead of the future partnership with Poker Stars.
Very experienced at marketing and affiliate deals, and once a member of the very successful online poker site Poke Room, Constantinou will have no trouble finding his way in the poker business. At the gaming firm, Serious Trivia, he was a part of the business development process as director, where he launched many partnerships with Fox, Football League, Bauer and MTV.
His first task will be to start a UK mobile casino and online site for Hippodrome Casino which will be designed by Microgaming software and run by Betway online casino group. Poker Stars, in turn, will provide the online poker operations, along with holding a minority of Hippodrome’s stock.
Finding more associates and searching for more partners, as well as expanding the media relationships, is the second step for Constantinou, as he takes his seat as the director of Hippodrome online operations.
The partnership between Poker Stars and Hippodrome Casino is in full compliance with the British gambling laws and has many plans for the establishment in the Leicester Square starting with a brand new poker deck.
Poker Stars will be sponsoring an array of tournaments and special events to be held at the Casino starting from next year. All of the events will be promoted to the poker site’s huge audience of 50 million registered members.
This partnership will lead the way to a higher standard in British internet casinos, as Constantinou not only will direct the online market of Hippodrome, but will also try to satisfy those that are still a little anxious about online gaming, and like to play poker the old fashioned way.
