NASCAR O’Reilly Betting Predictions: Elliott and Truex Jr. In the Top Favorites

After the chaotic Daytona 500 race this season’s NASCAR Cup Series will continue in the same location but with a road race now. Defending champion Chase Elliott will start from the pole on Sunday. He is also the top favorite to win the race in the NASCAR O'Reilly betting predictions. While the current points leader, Austin Dillon would need another miracle to finish on top.  The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series started last week with the legendary Daytona 500 race. Which also brought lots of excitement and crashes. Plus a surprise winner in Michael McDowell after the leader of the race, Joey Logano got involved in an accident in the last lap. Only 11 cars out of 40 managed to finish with McDowell crossing the line first. Now the competition will continue with the O'Reilly Auto Parts 253 race on a road course also in Daytona. Even though it will be only its second time in the series after its debut last season, the course is often used in other races like the 24hrs of Daytona race. Chase Elliott won the inaugural race last year and he is in the main favorites again.

NASCAR O'Reilly betting predictions favor the defending champion

Online sportsbooks in the US offer the smallest odds, +225 for the victory of Chase Elliott in their NASCAR O'Reilly betting predictions. The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion is incredible on road races, he won four of them last season. Elliott could have started this season with a victory as well. But he only finished second in the exhibition event of Busch Clash after colliding with Ryan Blaney in the front. He also managed to survive all crashes in the Daytona 500 race finishing as a runner-up again. But now he is the clear favorite to get his first win of the season.

Martin Truex Jr. has the second best odds with +400 to get his 28th win in the series. The 2017 champion is also good on road courses and finished third in last year’s race here. But his start of the season wasn’t too successful yet. As he hit the wall and spin his car in the Busch Clash even though he was leading twice during the race. While last weekend he was involved in the first big crash in lap 14 and couldn’t continue the race. Now Truex Jr. has the chance to get a better result and move up in the championships.

Blaney, Hamlin and Busch are also in the favorites

Ryan Blaney was close to win the first event, the Busch Clash this season until colliding with his best friend, Chase Elliott in the last lap. He was the unlucky one after his car suffered major damages. Blaney got a better result in the next event in the Bluegreen Vacations Duel with a 6th-place finish. But he crashed out in the Daytona 500 race. Now he has the odds of +900 to try again and get the victory on the road course. Online gambling sites in the US also mention Denny Hamlin in the favorites with the odds of +1000. The three-time Daytona 500 winner finished fifth last weekend. He is in second place though in the overall standing after winning the first two stages of the race. Hamlin wasn’t bad in the first road course event either after finishing sixth. Which was won by Kyle Busch who took advantage of the crash in the front to take the victory. The two-time series champion wasn’t as lucky in the following races and also crashed out last weekend. His odds to get his first win in a road race since 2015 is also +1000 on BetOnline.
