Online and mobile casino games developer Net Entertainment has announced the details of their launch in Italy. The Italian lottery and gaming company Lottomatica is all set to launch a series of Net Entertainment’s games in Italy in the near future.
Net Entertainment’s arrival in online casinos in Italy has been hotly anticipated, and their titles will now be available on both Lottomatica and Totosi brands in the European country. The games will also be available across different platforms, as mobile casinos continue to take off throughout Europe.
Thanks to the popularity of gambling in the country, Italian gambling laws are reasonably liberal. There was a scare recently, however, as the government passed – perhaps accidentally – a law that banned online gambling for 12 months. Luckily for everyone involved, it was struck down both by the upper house and the EU.
While only some of Net Entertainment’s games will be made instantly available, a whole host of new titles will be appearing in the current months, and the deal is seen as something of a coup for Lottomatica, as they seek to gain an advantage in the Italian marketplace.
Net Entertainment’s managing director, Bjorn Krantz, said: “Both parties have worked very closely to integrate the Net Entertainment Casino into Lottomatica’s operational environment, and we are very happy for Lottomatica and its players who will now be able to experience the very best online casino games on the local Italian market.”
The news comes hot on the heels of Net Entertainment announcement of their Q3 2013 figures, figures that showed an impressive 25% growth in revenue. The company’s growth could mainly be put down to the launch of their new casinos, as well as signing new licensing deals with a number of major players in the world of mobile gambling.
