It’s now officially an election year so the Democrats, as is traditional, are ripping strips off each other. With the massively significant Iowa Caucus just weeks away no one is giving an inch. The gloves are off. Bovada, one of the best online betting sites in the US today, is, however, giving one democrat better chances. The odds on Joe Biden winning the White House have now closed up. This puts him firmly as the best of the rest behind continuing bookies’ favorite; Trump.

“It is with a full heart I share this news – I’m suspending my campaign for President.” Tweeted Cory Booker withdrawing from the 2020 race. His departure leaves the field smaller, but no less frantic. Iowa looms large for Democrats who need to set an early example to give themselves momentum. Something the odds on Joe Biden winning the White House would seem to suggest he has. Some good poll numbers haven’t hurt, but the main help has been his main rivals idiocy.

It takes a special sort of person to go for a non-aggression pact and come out with a full-blown war. The Democrats have two. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren went for in for a truce and came out swinging. At each other. The odds on Joe Biden winning the White House have in no small part shortened due to this spat. They’re almost at a point where if you like to bet on sports in the US you could back him. He actually now has a sporting chance of beating Donald Trump.

Bovada Provides All The US Politics Odds You Need

Bernie Sanders probably doesn’t. Accused of having his supporters infer Warren was just for the wealthy he apparently claimed no woman could ever win the national vote. This will be news to Amy Klobuchar and is arguable at best. What isn’t debatable is just how bad it makes Sanders look. Democrats need to show unity, not this bickering. She might be in the right but it hasn’t done Warren any good either. It is all too easy to paint Warren and Sanders as extremists now.

This isn’t all that far from the truth. At least compared with the moderate middle-of-the-road figure of Biden. Even Pete Buttigieg is managing to look mainstream in comparison and that has not hurt his chances. Not that he has many. He’s 25/1 to win the Presidency, well behind those 9/2 odds on Joe Biden winning the White House. So does this mean Joe has it all sewn up? Well perhaps, and if you’re taking advantage of US gambling laws, he’s the Democrat to back.

Odds On Joe Biden Winning The White House Now Just 9/2

That said, looking at the US presidential odds for 2020 you’d think a bet on Donald Trump would be best. He’s certainly getting the shortest of the odds right now, just 8/11 to retain the Presidency. However, this is drifting from where it was. The slow erosion could just be a sign of what may well be a political upset. That would make the odds of Joe Biden winning the White House well worth taking up. Especially at that great 9/2 price, you can get on sites like Bovada.

The more cynical will, with one eye on the Electoral College, wonder if that’s not just too risky. One term Presidents are rarer than you’d think. A lack of popularity not always translate to a loss at the polls in November. The Democrat odds for 2020 might be tempting, the odds on Joe Biden winning the White House even more so, but beware. The realities of US political math mean online sportsbook sites in the US like Bovada are still hedging their bets on this one.
