Polish gambling regulator hires Gaming Laboratories International to provide independent casino game testing in Poland.

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) received the very first accreditation to provide independent testing of casino games in Poland. The Polish Ministry of Finance, which has the ultimate authority as the country’s gambling regulator, accredited GLI Europe as well as GLI Austria to be Poland’s casino auditor.

“We are very pleased with the support given to GLI by the Ministry of Finance and Customs Service Department during the certification process. “It was a pleasure for our team to work with the regulators writing new technical standards to govern this market,” said GLI Austria Managing Director Heinz Winkelbauer.

Mr. Winkelbauer added - “We look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with the government of Poland and wish them much success.”

The move comes in accordance with the last revision of Polish gambling laws which forbade online casinos while exalting the virtues of sports betting in Poland.

The move is seen as a boon for the international online casino industry as millions of Polish online gamblers will begin to circumvent the unjust gambling laws by playing at foreign based online casino in Poland.

According to online gambling news in Poland, GLI Europe sees the move as an important first move into the Eastern European regulated gambling markets which the company considers to be the new frontier in its future expansion strategies.

“As Eastern European countries adopt new gaming regulations and technical standards, GLI will always be there to offer our services and expertise to assist these jurisdictions," states Phillip Barow, Managing Director of GLI Europe.

"The gaming marketplace throughout Eastern Europe continues to evolve, which is one of the reasons why we chose to hold our Regulators Roundtable in Budapest earlier this summer,” the managing director added.

GLI is opening an office in beautiful Krakow, Poland (a wise decision over Warsaw) from where they plan to manage their invasion of the Eastern European gaming markets.
