Intralot, one of the leading gaming solutions provider worldwide, has completed its entry into the Czech gambling market. Intralot supplies integrated gaming and transaction processing systems, sports betting management services, interactive gaming services, and innovative game content to state-licensed gaming operators worldwide.
Intralot’s Czech lotto venture is a partnership with Fortuna, a renowned Czech gaming operator and is guaranteed to operate under full compliance with Czech gambling laws. Intralot, a Greek based company, has already supplied Fortuna with its proprietary central system, needed to operate the lottery.
CEO of Fortuna Lottery, Mr. Martin Illner, told Czech Republic gambling news: “Fortuna is launching its operations much earlier than expected and is ready to provide a wide portfolio of gaming offerings to its customers in Czech Republic.”
Mr. Illner continued: “So far, we have managed to develop a wide network of well-placed PoS that we are planning to expand further. We are confident that together with our experienced technological vendor, Intralot, we will manage to become the market leader of the country and recreate its gaming world.”
Currently 700 lottery terminals are already in place across Czech Republic, and Intralot promises to supply Fortuna with 3,500 terminals by the end of 2012.
As we reported earlier (Czech online sportsbook Fortuna To Expand Into Lottery), Fortuna also plans to expand its scratch card business. Being one of the leading online sportsbooks in Czech Republic will certainly help. By the time Czech online gambling market is liberalized, Fortuna should be in a very good position to grab a larger piece of the juicy Czech market.
