  • After the recent shortcomings Team Liquid hope to rebound in Copenhagen
  • Astralis never won BLAST at home
  • NaVi and FaZe are among the potential title challengers

Six world’s best CSGO teams will go head-to-head at the 2019 BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen between November 1-2. The bookies favor the hosts Astralis to win the event. But, our predictions for BLAST Copenhagen 2019 support Team Liquid to rebound and reclaim their No. 1 status.

The sixth BLAST Pro Series tournament and the last before the Global Final is taking place at the Royal Arena in the Danish capital. It will feature six teams including Liquid, Astralis, NaVi, NiP, FaZe, and Cloud9. They will compete live on the stage and in front of 12,000 fans, with $250,000 on the line.

Online gambling sites in Denmark suggest Liquid and Astralis remain the frontrunners for the event, with Astralis to likely win the title at home. However, the North American giants Team Liquid have been more consistent in 2019. They won one BLAST event and finished two as runner-ups out of five this year. Therefore, our predictions for BLAST Copenhagen 2019 opt for Team Liquid to do everything in their power to bounce back and reclaim the CSGO top spot.

Team Liquid hope to rebound in Copenhagen

Liquid have started their 2019 season finishing second at the BLAST Sao Paulo and Miami. Soon later they rose to become dominant during the spring and summer. They won six consecutive live events, including prestigious tournaments like ESL One Cologne, the ESL Pro League S9, and DreamHack Masters Dallas. In July they won BLAST LA in front of their home crowd. All these victories saw Liquid become the top-ranked team in the CSGO world.

That made it shocking for Liquid to lose 2-0 against Astralis in the quarterfinals at the StarLadder Berlin Major. Three weeks later Liquid lost 2-1 to Astralis once again at the ESL One New York. The last setback for Liquid came in October when they faced an early exit at the DreamHack Masters Malmo. Despite all the recent shortcomings, Liquid have the pedigree to rebound at BLAST Copenhagen with 3.00 odds at Unibet Sportsbook.

Astralis never won BLAST at home

It goes without saying that Astralis have lost their last year’s consistency, and they no longer rule the CSGO world alone. Despite their decline, they still came on top at the BLAST Sao Paulo in March, taking down Liquid 2-1 in the grand final.

BLAST Pro Series was organized twice in the Danish capital and this year it will be the third edition. However, even when Astralis were on top of their game they failed to win BLAST in their own home. Will they be able to undo the curse and win this time? Online sportsbooks in Denmark suggest yes with 2.00 odds, but we think Astralis are still crumbling to find their 2018 form.

NaVi and FaZe among the potential title challengers

According to our predictions for BLAST Copenhagen 2019, if Astralis and Liquid fall short (for unexpected reasons), either NaVi or FaZe will likely have a shot on the title. Natus Vincere are the defending champions. They have a new roster featuring a mixture of veterans ‘GuardiaN’, highly skilled individuals ‘s1mple’, and the mastermind ‘Boombl4’. Trophies are a must for the new roster, with 6.00 odds for the first trophy to be captured in Copenhagen.

The other potential title challenger is FaZe Clan. The last achievement for FaZe was the BLAST Pro Series trophy in Miami in April. Since then, they failed to present strong showing in any major. Should FaZe win BLAST Copenhagen, their odds stand at 11.00 as per Unibet Sportsbook.
