  • The new 2020-21 Serie A season will start this weekend
  • Juventus are the defending champions and biggest favorites
  • Inter Milan, Napoli and Atalanta can be their biggest rivals
The new, 2020-21 season in Serie A will start this weekend with seven games taking place this weekend. Juventus have won the championship in the last nine years and have been dominating Italian football. Of course they are the biggest favorites again according to the Serie A 2021 winner odds. Let’s see if any team can stop them this year.  The Italian league is starting along with the Bundesliga this weekend, giving some extra breaks to the players. Twenty teams will compete in this season as well, with Juventus being the defending champion. The biggest question of this season is the usual. Can anyone stop Juve or will they get their 10th title in a row? Last season’s main challengers, Inter Milan, Napoli and surprise team Atalanta seem like the strongest teams again. But surely other big clubs, like AC Milan, As Roma and Lazio will fight for a better finish too.

Juventus can get their 10th title according to the Serie A 2021 winner odds

Juventus will start the new season with a new manager, Andrea Pirlo following the dismissal of Maurizio Sarri. Even though the team won another Serie A title, they were knocked out by Lyon in the last 16 of the Champions League. Fans and the management were not happy with Sarri, so he had to go. But Pirlo is another interesting choice as a new manager, as he hasn’t got any managerial experience, this will be his debut in this area. Of course he was a fantastic player and played for the club between 2011 and 2015, winning four championship titles in this period.

Let's play!
Well, online sportsbooks in Italy are still predicting The Zebras to win the title with the odds of 1.90. They still have Cristiano Ronaldo and several other top players in their squad and even added Barcelona midfielder Arthur to the team. Pjanic and Matuidi left the club but Juve are still a very strong team. Just like Inter Milan, who can be their biggest rival this season again. Antonio Conte’s side were close to the champions last season, and only finished a single point behind at the end. They will surely try to beat Juventus this season and finish on top. They have the odds of 2.87 to do so in the Serie A winner odds.

Other title challengers

Online gambling sites in Italy also mention Napoli as a potential candidate to become champions. But their odds are much higher, 12.00 to achieve this. Probably the reason for that is their poor performance last season when they only finished in the 7th place. The team has already signed Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen from Lille for a club record fee and is planning to sign more players. With manager Gennaro Gattuso, Napoli have a very energetic former player, who can fight interesting games against his former teammate, Andrea Pirlo. Atalanta had a superb season last year, after finishing in third place in the Serie A and also getting to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. This was their second consecutive season when they managed to reach the podium and can repeat this result again. To actually win the league might be a bit too much to ask from a club which doesn’t have any star player but work effectively as a team. They also kept Croatian Mario Pasalic at the club and got defender Cristian Romero on loan from Juventus.
