The Connecticut-licensed sportsbetting website undergoes changes to increase convenience and usability

The pool and sportsbetting operator Sportech upgraded its horseracing and betting website. This comes after a year of development on Mywinners, a website which is licensed by the state of Connecticut.

A representative from the company stressed that the changes were made in order to improve the convenience and functionality of the site. Managing director Ted Taylor said: "We’ve upgraded the whole site and substantially improved the all-round betting experience and user interface for our customers."

Connecticut has legal but heavily regulated sportsbetting

According to American gambling laws, individual states can make their own regulations. Connecticut does not allow online casinos to legally operate in the state. However, Mywinners is a sportsbetting site rather than an online casino, and has received a license from the gaming commission.

Online sportsbooks in America are legal in more places than online casinos. While most states allow sportsbetting, only New Jersey and Delaware currently have licensed online casinos.

Connecticut has sportsbetting, although it is strictly regulated and only open to residents of the state ages 18 and older. In addition, land-based bookie shops cannot legally operate in the state.

Sportech's Mywinners site is one of the licensed operators and enjoys a high degree of popularity with sports bettors in the state. The recent upgrade should only improve the situation, bringing more wagers-and a larger net win-to the company.
