One of the most prestigious casinos in the world, the Casino de Monte Carlo in Monaco has operated since 1856. In fact, you may recognize it as the location of one of the famous casino movies Casino Royale Princess Caroline came up with an idea to build a casino to save Monaco from bankruptcy. Bishop of Monaco and the future Pope Leo XIII were amongst the investors of the casino. Today, Grand Casino looks more luxurious than ever. Kurhaus of Baden-Baden

Kurhaus of Baden-Baden (1834) is the next casino on our list. In fact, it is an entire complex of casino, spa resort, and conference. The place was very popular in the mid-1830s, during the banning of gambling in France. Many people from abroad came here to test their luck in the casino. Nowadays, Kurhaus of Baden-Baden hosts many international gatherings and events. According to some resources, Marlene Dietrich and Fyodor Dostoyevsky visited Kurhus very often. 

Golden Gate

Golden Gate is one of the oldest casinos in Las Vegas. John F. Miller, the owner of the property opened it in 1905 in downtown Las Vegas. Originally named Hotel Nevada it was the first hotel in Las Vegas. Not only it is one of the top 5 oldest casinos in the world, but it is also the oldest casino in Vegas.  It is the oldest and most historic casino in Las Vegas. You should visit it if you want that nostalgic feeling and the sense of traveling back to the golden era of Vegas. Without it, Las Vegas wouldn’t have the look or glamorous reputation it does today.

Casino de Spa

The next casino on our list was built back in 1763 in Belgium. Though an extensive fire during World War I destroyed the casino, it was rebuilt in 1918. The name Spa comes from the fact that Casino de Spa is located in the city of Spa in Belgium. The government built the casino simply because they wanted rich people to come to Spa.  Since the early 2000s, Belgian Circus runs the place and it remains a very exciting place to visit. Also, there are some modern offerings visitors can enjoy from slot machines, table games, to live games.
