This will be the 30th edition of the Tour of Denmark, a five-day cycling race held across Denmark. The race will start this year in Struer. And it will end with the individual time trial in Frederiksberg, just outside of Copenhagen. The tournament mostly covers flat areas, so sprinters and time trial specialists can go for stage wins. Like Marc Cavendish who was brilliant in this year’s Tour de France after winning four stages. His QuickStep teammate, Remco Evenepoel can go for the overall win despite not having too many hills in the route. Along with another QuickStep rider, Yves Lampaert, and the Danish favorites.

Tour of Denmark winner odds favor Belgian riders

Remco Evenepoel made his return in this year’s Giro d’Italia after his serious accident last year. But unfortunately, he had to leave the race after another crash in stage 17. He did come back strongly in the Tour of Belgium though where he won the overall race. The 21-year-old Belgian also competed in the Tokyo Olympics, finishing in 9th place in the time trial race. Now online sportsbooks in Denmark offer the smallest odds, 3.20 for his victory in the Tour of Denmark.

Evenepoel will be supported by his team, Deceuninck QuickStep, which brings great riders to the race. Like another Belgian, Yves Lampaert, who is also mentioned in the top favorites by the Tour of Denmark winner odds. The current Belgian time trial champion can be the strongest on the last stage, but can also fight for the overall win. He finished second behind Evenepoel in the Tour of Belgium this year. And Lampaert was fourth in the classic one-day race of Dwars door Vlaanderen. Now his odds to win the race are 4.33 on bet365.

Danish favorites and Nizzolo can also get the victory

Danish riders are usually doing great on home soil. So it’s not surprising that we can find several Danish winners in the event’s history. In the last tournament in 2019 Niklas Larsen won the race ahead of his countrymen, Jonas Vingegaard and Rasmus Quaade. While Jakob Fuglsang managed to win the tour three times in a row. Now Soren Kragh Andersen has the biggest chance of winning with the odds of 5.00. The Team DSM rider won two stages in last year’s Tour de France and finished second in the 2020 BinckBank Tour. This year he hasn’t achieved such results, but he can still do well in the race.

Online gambling sites in Denmark also mention the 2017 race winner, Mads Pedersen in the favorites. The 2019 road race world champion won the one-day classic of Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne this year. He also raced on the 2021 Tour de France. But he couldn’t repeat his 2020 performance when he finished second in two stages. His odds to win the overall title now are 8.00. So, Italian Giacomo Nizzolo was riding great in the 2021 Giro d’Italia and managed to win a stage after 11 second-place finishes. He also finished second in the Gent-Wevelgem and won the one-day race of Circuito de Getxo last month. Nizzolo can do well in Denmark too with the odds of 11.00 to win the tournament.
