Manuel Pellegrini’s job at West Ham United is on a knife’s edge. The team is only 15th, four points clear from relegation. Though they won against Southampton last weekend, it might not be enough to rescue the Chilean. Bookmakers have already prepared the favorites in their West Ham next manager odds.

Pellegrini has been appointed as the manager of West Ham last year. He guided them to the 10th place, which wasn’t a bad result at all. Especially after previous years when the team was mostly fighting against relegation. But after the big movement at the club in the summer, when 11 players left the team, and only six arrived, they are struggling again. Their form predicts the sacking of Pellegrini, at least he didn’t win the Premier League sack race. Let’s see the main favorites to take his position.

Eddie Howe and Chris Hughton are in the favorites in West Ham next manager odds

Online sportsbooks in the UK are mentioning a few names as possible replacements for Pellegrini. Four of them have almost the same odds, even bookmakers can’t decide who is the most likely one. The first candidate is Chris Hughton, former manager of Brighton. He spent five years at the club. Under his management, the team won promotion to the Premier League. In spite of leading the club also to the semi-final of the FA Cup last year, he was sacked at the end of last season. Now Hughton is waiting for the right opportunity and an offer from a Premier League club. He has the odds of 4.00 to be the next West Ham manager.

The manager of another southern seaside town, Bournemouth is also in the favorites to get the job with the odds of 4.50. Eddie Howe is one of the most talented young English coaches, with the hope of an even better future in front of him. He has been the manager of the Cherries apart from a year since 2008, which is a very long time in football. He was leading the team from League 2 all the way to the Premier League, where Bournemouth are still playing, proving to everyone that they have a place in the top league. But this year, their performance is not that convincing, in the last few weeks they suffered six defeats before winning against Chelsea. So it might be the right time for a change for both sides, Howie and the club.

Famous names are also in the candidates

As Everton seems to be appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager, David Moyes are available to take the West Ham job. He has been at the club on a short-term in 2017-18, after the sacking of former manager Slaven Bilic. He did help the team to stay in the top league. However, they dismissed him from the club at the end of that season. He hasn’t been employed by anyone else since then. It is a question if he would be willing to help the Londoners again after his previous experience. Online gambling sites in the UK believe so, his odds are 5.50 at 1xBet.

Another familiar name has also come up in the West Ham next manager odds. The name of former Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez who is currently working in China. He also has experience with clubs facing relegation and has the charisma to deal with West Ham.  But the club might not have the money to buy him out of his contract. Anyway, he has the odds of 5.00 to replace Pellegrini. To find more odds just visit 1xBet, and if you need some information, read our latest review about 1xBet sportsbook.
