Rumour has it, that the studio will break some outdated traditions, and cast a black actor as the lead. Reportedly, Michael B. Jordan. We still await some info on the plot, at this point, it could be something completely reimagined. With the number of remakes major studios have released in previous years, fans definitely want to see something it is actually worth waiting for. Preparations are still very early, but Ta-Nehisi Coates stated, that they can’t wait to add something new to America’s biggest superhero legacy.
Will Michael B. Jordan become to new superman actor?

While there are multiple predictions on who will be the new superman actor, Micheal B. Jordan is the most popping name. Quite rightfully so, the star is known for hit films such as Oscar Grant (2015), or Black Panther (2018). After leaving television roles, Jordan became known for the whole world with blockbuster movies. Time magazine included him in the list of most influential people in 2020. Additionally, TheNew York Times ranked him #15 on its list of the 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century in the same year. With various awards behind his back, online sportsbooks in the US show the best odds for Jordan as our new Superman.
The odds on Bovada are +175, hopefully, his casting in the reboot will finally happen. Apparently, previous talks happened between Jordan and WB in 2019, however, the project did not fall through due to creative differences. Micheal B. If Oscar Isaac is the one who will be the new superman actor, it will also be an out of the box decision. It is probably for the exact same reason fans predict Jordan, the desire for a fresh take. The Guatemalan-American actor starred in Ex Machina (2014) and the 2015 Star Wars films amongst other smaller productions. It may surprise fans, but this can be true for another possible actor, Armie Hammer.
Of course the recent scandal around the normally quite Armie Hammer is not helping his opportunities. Reports on WB eyeing on Armie Hammer are not exactly up to date, as they date back to 2019. Unlike the above-mentioned actors, Hammer would exactly fit into the “we could see this coming” category. Hammer already looks like the Clark Kent we picture in our heads, but do fans want to see that happen again?
What about the already super-men?
Previous Supermen, Henry Cavill and Tyler Hoechlin also appear on Bovada, although with the worst odds. Reportedly, Cavill’s contract was set for 3 films, and after he will hang the super cape. Naturally, the news of the reboot stirred up guessing all around the internet - what about Henry Cavill? It is not exactly safe to say that his character will never come back, but the studio and the actor himself have expressed more likelihood on other future superhero team-ups.
As for Tyler Hoechlin, his appearance on the 2021 TV drama, Superman&Lois only ran one season. The actor of course definitely has potential, the reception of the series will definitely not justify his casting in WB production. Moreover, when we line up Micheal B.
