There was almost unseemly haste. It seemed only minutes passed. One minute the media are announcing Joe Biden has won the 2020 election. The next they’re offering odds on the next US election. The ouroboros nature of US politics is all but palpable. Online sportsbook sites in the US like Bovada evidently wish to leverage the recent uptick in public political interest. So is this the best time to bet on the 2024 US Presidential election? We examine the prizes on offer so far.   The king is dead, long live the king. Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the United States. It might have taken a good deal longer than anyone expected, and been closer than anyone wanted, but it happened. The final few Electoral College votes drifted Joe’s way and he won. It was a moment many in the US then celebrated in the streets. The bookies celebrated by instantly offering odds for a bet on the 2024 US presidential election. Such is the endless nature of politics. Naturally, there will be some who point out that officially this election is not yet over. They won’t be ready to bet on the 2024 US Presidential election. Donald Trump is still, at the time of writing, yet to concede. A somewhat bizarre state of affairs. He actually looks set to challenge the results. Almost unheard of. Of course, you can always bet on Donald Trump to confound expectations. You can even bet on him to win in 2024 at online betting sites in the US right now.
2020 Georgia Senate Odds
  • Democrats – 20/21
  • Republicans – 4/9

Bovada Offers Odds On Kamala Harris In Next Election

This is, again, a little unusual. Typically Presidents who’ve just lost an election don’t get 10/1 odds to win the next one. Then again, typically Presidents who’ve just won an election tend to lead the odds to win the next. Joe Biden doesn’t. He’s a 5/1 bet on the 2024 US Presidential election. The favorite to win with the bookies is Kamala Harris at 7/2. This is different but fair enough. The odds on the Democrats nominating her are high. Joe will be nearly 82 by then. They might, of course, nominate someone else. However, you can’t help thinking that Pete Buttigieg or Andrew Yang, the best of the bunch, are better as VP choices. They’re a 33/1 and 66/1 bet on the 2024 US Presidential election respectively, but those really are notional odds. If they run at all it’ll only be to gain a VP slot. The more interesting squabble will be on the other side of the aisle. It’ll be a battle royale far more exciting than any bet on sports in the US

Having lost the Republicans will now have to choose a direction. There will be numerous factions vying to set that agenda. Do they continue to follow the Trumpian dream? Perhaps making Ivanka Trump at 25/1 a good bet on politics in the US right now. Will they lean more heavily towards the religious right with Mike Pence at 11/1 or will Nikki Haley beat her 14/1 chances? When it comes to bet on the 2024 US Presidential election this is where the action is.

For those who can’t wait that long, however, there’s still Georgia. Control of the US senate is the ballgame in US politics. Without it a Presidency can be neutered by obstructionists. Winning the run-off elections is now all-important to the democrats. Those thinking of taking advantage of US gambling laws to put a bet on Kamala Harris will know this. Her chances could well hinge on those two races. Joe’s Presidency certainly does. And so does your bet on the 2024 Presidential election.
