  • Next race in the 2020 MotoGP season is in Spileberg, Austria this weekend
  • 6-time world champion Marc Marquez is still out of racing
  • Last race winner Brad Binder is favourite again with KTM

Following the surprise victory of Brad Binder in the Czech Grand Prix and the injury of Marc Marquez, the race in this season’s MotoGP seems more close than ever. French Fabio Quartararo are leading the riders standing after three races and he is in the favourites again in the 2020 MotoGP Austrian GP betting preview. But several other riders can get to the podium this Sunday.

The Austrian Grand Prix has returned back to the MotoGP schedule in 2016 after a 19-year break. Now it is held in the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, which will host the next race of the season this weekend. Andrea Dovizioso won the last race in 2019 and has a good chance to be the fastest rider again on Sunday. But after KTM and their rider, Brad Binder got their first historical victory last weekend, he has become a potential candidate to win the race. Just like current championship leader Fabio Quartararo who is in superb form after winning two out of the past three races this year.

2020 MotoGP Austrian GP betting preview favour rookie Binder to win again

Online sportsbooks in Austria are offering the smallest odds, 5.00 at 1xBet for the victory of South African rider Brad Binder. He won the last race in the Czech Republic for everyone’s surprise as he is spending his first season in the top category. Of course, the 25-year old KTM rider has already shown his talent in the lower categories. He won the Moto3 championship in 2016 and finished second in the Moto2 last year. But only three people could win a race in his debut season in MotoGP before: Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez. As the Red Bull Ring is the home of KTM, Binder can easily continue his winning streak.

The race is on!

6-time world champion Marc Marquez is still out of racing following his big crash in the first race. So Binder’s biggest rival can be Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso. He has already won in Austria twice before, now he has the odds of 5.50 to win again. The Italian is currently in 4th place in the championship, level on points with his compatriot, Franco Morbidelli. He had a decent start so far, finishing 3rd on the first race, followed by a 6th and 11th-place finish.  But Dovizioso has to really perform better to make use of the absence of Marquez and have a chance to finally become champion.

The championship leader is also in the favourites

Spanish rider Pol Espargaro has the same odds, 5.50 at 1xBet in the 2020 MotoGP Austrian GP betting preview. As Binder’s teammate at KTM, he also has a great chance to perform well in Austria. The former Moto2 champion joined MotoGP in 2014 but couldn’t achieve outstanding results yet. After retiring in the previous race, he can prove his talent now with a fast bike.

Championship leader Fabio Quartararo is also in the favourites by online gambling sites in Austria. He won the first two races in Spain then finished 7th in the last race. The Yamaha rider is leading 17 points ahead of 2nd-place Maverick Vinales. Last year he finished in third place behind Dovizioso and Marquez, but now he has a good chance to get to the top of the podium. Even though the Red Bull Ring is not the strongest race for Yamaha, the French rider can be capable of getting a good result.
