2021 PDC Premier League predictions favor Aspinall to take revenge on Durrant

The first game of the 2021 PDC Premier League will be the rematch of last season’s final between Nathan Aspinall and Glen Durrant. Now online sportsbooks in the UK favor the young English player to take revenge and win the game with the odds of 2.05. Aspinall is currently in 10th place in the ranking but he is still ahead of his experienced rival. He reached the quarter-finals of the 2021 Masters in January and the 4th round in the 2021 UK Open. Durrant’s best result this season was reaching the quarter-finals of the 3rd Players Championship event a month ago.

In the second game Portuguese Jose de Sousa is favored to win against Rob Cross with the odds of 1.95. He had his breakthrough last season after winning his first major title at the 2020 Grand Slam of Darts. De Sousa will make his debut in this tournament while Cross will play here for the 4th time. In the biggest game of the night the 2020 world champion, Peter Wright meets another debutant, Jonny Clayton. The Welsh player won his first major title, the 2021 Masters two months ago. He has been in top form since as he also won two events in the Players Championship. His odds to defeat Wright is 2.62 now while Snakebite’s odds to win is 2.25 in the 2021 PDC Premier League predictions.

Price and van Gerwen should also win their first games

The 2021 PDC world champion and current world No1 Gerwyn Price will start the tournament against another world champion, Gary Anderson. The two players have met in the final of the world championship this January, when Price won the match confidently. He is favored to win again by online gambling sites in the UK. Who offer the odds of 1.95 for his victory. It’s not surprising after Price is still in great form. He reached the semi-finals of both the Masters and the UK Open this year. Michael van Gerwen has achieved a few good results as well this season.  Like getting to the semi-finals of the 2021 UK Open. The Dutch world No3 won the Premier League tournament five times so far but finished only in 6th place last season. Now he has a chance to get back to winning. Mighty Mike will play first against another newbie, Belgian Dimitri Van den Bergh who won the 2020 World Matchplay. The 26-year-old player was suffering with a knee injury in the last few months but should be healthy now. Still, his win over the five-time world champion would be a surprise and has the odds of 3.60 on bet365.
