Yulia Tymoshenko took part in the election several times. In 2010, she lost to Viktor Yanukovych in the 2nd tour. Right after, she went to jail. After the 2014 revolution, the Supreme Court of Ukraine closed all her cases. During the upcoming election, Tymoshenko finished at the 2nd place after Poroshenko. In 2019, she participated in the election again. This time Tymoshenko did not pass to the next tour, having lost to both Zelensky and Poroshenko.
