This is the sixth edition of the European Open where Andy Murray got his last ATP victory back in 2019. We can also find three French players, Richard Gasquet, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Ugo Humbert in the previous winners. Humbert is also the defending champion but he won’t compete this time. The ATP 250 tournament, which is the only ATP event in Belgium, is played on indoor hard courts at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp. 28 players will fight for the trophy and the winner’s almost €50,000 share of the prize money. The top four seeds of the tournament will only start the competition in the second round. But fans can already watch great matches in the first round. Like the Andy Murray vs Frances Tiafoe or the Jan Lennard Struff vs Albert Ramos Vinales ties.

ATP Antwerp Winner Odds Favor New Gen Star Sinner

Jannik Sinner has been having a great season so far after reaching his first ATP Masters title at the 2021 Miami Open this March. Though he lost there against Hubert Hurkacz, Sinner moved to 14th place in the world ranking which is his best position so far. The 20-year-old Italian won his first ATP 500 title in Washington. Also his first doubles title at the 2021 Atlanta Open playing along with Reilly Opelka. Now online sportsbooks in Belgium favor him to win this tournament as well and offer the odds of 3.70 for his victory.

One of his main rivals can be actually Opelka, who has the odds of 9.40 to win his third ATP Tour title. The 24-year-old American, who is the tallest ATP player with his 2,11m height, was also close to winning his first Masters title. He reached the final of the 2021 Canadian Open this August after defeating such top players as Roberto Bautista Agut and Stefanos Tsitsipas. In the final, though he lost against world No2 Daniil Medvedev. Opelka also reached the fourth round in this year’s US Open which has been his best result in a Grand Slam yet. Now the world No20 can also aim for the win here.

Former Event Winners and Finalists Can Also Get The Victory

Diego Schwartzman has already reached the final of this tournament twice before, in 2016 and 2017. Now he can try to win his fifth ATP title after also winning the Argentina Open this year. The 29-year-old is in great form as he reached the quarter-finals in the last two tournaments in San Diego and Indian Wells. His odds to win in Antwerp now are 9.90. But first Schwartzman will need to win his second-round game. This won’t be an easy task as he can face the 2019 winner, Andy Murray. The British star accepted a wild card to play in the tournament and will try to get some more wins.

Murray will start against American Frances Tiafoe in the first round and is favored to go through. But online gambling sites in Belgium offer quite high odds (16.00) for his final win. Last year’s runner-up, Alex de Minaur, has slightly better chances of winning with the odds of 12.50. The Australian has already won two events this season in Antalya and in Eastbourne. Thanks to these results he also reached a career-high ranking No15. But the 22-year-old player hasn’t got any major results since the summer. Another young talent, South African Lloyd Harris is having the best season of his career so far. After reaching his first Grand Slam quarter-final at the 2021 US Open. Plus he played in his first ATP 500 final in Dubai this March. Now his odds to win his first ATP Tour title are 9.40 on 22Bet.
