But the British Academy of Film and Televison Arts also rewards the best TV productions every year. From comedies to documentaries they distributed 26 awards last year. In the BAFTA Best Series betting tips we check the favorites for the Best Drama and Best Mini-Series categories.  The first BAFTA was held in 1955 with only six categories. Since then it has become a much bigger event, highlighting the best British TV productions and performances. Only British programs can apply including any TV stations broadcasting in the UK along with independent production companies. Members of BAFTA are voting online and four nominees are shortlisted in each category. Last year Killing Eve was the biggest winner with 3 awards including the Best Drama series.

BAFTA Best Series betting tips favor The Crown as Best Drama

In the four nominees of the Best Drama series category The Crown seems to be a top favorite by online sportsbooks in the UK. Fans love the Netflix drama about the Royal Family and the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. They’ve kept watching Season 3 as well. Where Olivia Colman took over as the Queen along with Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret. Well, thanks to these brilliant actresses and the interest for the Queen, win is almost sure for the series. It has the odds of 1.12 on 1xBet.  But let’s see the other nominees as well. Another Netflix production, The End of the F***ing World is also in the top 4, which is a success already. The dark comedy-drama about a possible psychopath teenager and his girlfriend was nominated in 2018 after the first season.

An HBO/BBC One production, the Gentleman Jack is a historical drama happening in the 19th century. It's about landowner and industrialist Anne Lister and her secret relation with another woman. The fourth nominee is Giri/Haji, a thriller happening in London and Tokyo. The international cast includes several Japanese actors/actresses which makes the series more interesting. But it still has the smallest odds, 17.00 to win the award.

Favorites in the Best Mini-Series category

Like in the Best Drama category, we can also find a top favorite in the Best Mini-Series category. Online gambling sites in the UK are predicting the victory of Chernobyl, which is without a doubt a fantastic series. It tells the story of the catastrophe and the aftermath in such a way that is informative and entertaining at the same time. HBO and Sky UK produced the series which has already won several awards. Including the Best Miniseries at the Golden Globe and the Outstanding Limited Series award at the Emmys.  In our  BAFTA Best Series betting tips we have to mention the second favorite, The Virtues. It has the odds of 7.50 at 1xBet. As you can see, its chance to win is much smaller. Even though Daily Telegraph called it a masterpiece. The series is about Joseph who returns to his home in Ireland after his ex-wife and son move to Australia. The other two nominees include a Scottish thriller. It tells the story of a young boy’s murder and his mother, who tries to find the killer. The jury can also vote for another crime drama, A Confession starring Martin Freeman. All these series might be top class, but Chernobyl’s win is almost certain in the category.
